TNBL Fictional League Recruiting (OOTP26)

Longtime MLB turned Fictional OOTP league that is in our first post upgrade season in OOTP 26. We just finished the 2070 season so you will get to handle the entire offseason.

We sim four days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday), a week at a time during the regular season. We are a 20-team league that uses Slack to communicate, as well as StatsPlus. There are two divisions of ten teams each, though regardless of divisional settings, the top twelve teams make the playoffs. The first four teams receive a bye with four total rounds of playoff baseball. This encourages competition as most teams have a chance at winning the crown!

Additional Rules/Notes
Ratings: 1-100, current and potentials, 20-80 scale for overall and potential
Scouts and Coaches: Off
28-Man Active Roster, 30 expanded (September), 40-Man Roster
DH at all levels
Five Levels of Minors with Age and Roster Size Restrictions
Neutral Aspect: all stadiums are 1.000 and all teams have equal media contracts
Modern Day arbitration and Free Agency
25 Round Draft (no signing bonuses)
Player Options Allowed
Team Options have 25% buyout (set in game)
Vesting Options Allowed (minimum qualifiers enforced)
Can allow an option in only in the final season of a contract
No-Trade Clauses allowed, but they are not enforced
We allow offseason rebranding!
Players come from all over the world, including Iceland and Luxembourg!

Open Teams
Kansas City Centaurs: A surprise playoff team and series winner, Kansas City has money to spend and a good young core. The farm ranks 5th and has two top-10 arms that could pitch their way into rotation role. No real offensive stars, but they can tap into their pitching depth.

Miami Hammerheads: If you like a challenge, this one is for you, as it's been a while since Miami was a contender and even longer since they won a title. The losing hasn't led to many draft hits, as their system sits in the bottom half. There's the beginnings of a new young core, led by a legit, controllable slugger, and very little long-term commitment to get in the way.

Sasquatch BC: Unfortunately a long time owner had to step away with time constraints, making Sasquatch available for the first time in over 30 in-game years. They're on a rare postseason drought, but it's allowed their farm system to grow. A few key players will either walk or receive extensions, and can be an active player in the free agent market.

Open Teams
Austin Rattlers: Young team with one of the most exciting young players, center fielder Enrique Cadena. A legit piece to build on, he hits and pitches at a top level, leading Austin to a surprise playoff spot. Middle of the road farm but a lot of money to spend. They started the season with 24-year-old rookie Hector Martinez in the rotation, as the 40th ranked prospect has already shown why scouts think he'll be an ace. Coming off a playoff appearance and now lethal top of the rotation led by reigning ERA leader Per Kock, they are a young team with plenty of prospect firepower. They pick 11th.

Kansas City Centaurs: Entering the season with a top five farm system, they've gotten their by not making the postseason in over a decade. In another youth movement, all their best players are on the right side of 30, highlighted by 22-year-old ace Justin Walker. 25-year-old catcher Reynaldo Frias is arguably the best defensive catcher in the league and while power isn't part of his game, he excels as working the count and putting the ball in play. Without much money committed longterm they can retain former 5th pick Juan Mendoza long-term and chase for a playoff spot, or move him and other impending free agents if they fall out at the deadline. They pick 6th.

Miami Hammerheads: Miami has plenty of prospect talent in the low minors, but they aren't quite ready for contention. Former 4th pick Lennart Miller may be in the last season of his career with the team, but the Florida team has the money to retain their constant in the heart of the order. Unfortunately the rest of the squad is more good then great, but second year third basemen Bobby Diaz has taken advantage of his unique batting profile to start the season. They have the flexibility to continue a rebuild or add a few pieces to take a playoff spot, and will pick 5th in the draft.

Sasquatch BC: Unfortunately a long time owner had to step away with time constraints, making Sasquatch available for the first time in over 30 in-game years. 2063-2067 they were a consistent playoff team but have missed the past two seasons, and are in a real period of transition. Money is tight, and they may see lineup stalwarts Luis Leon, Tony Badillo, and Kyle Smith leave at season's end. A new owner could start their tenure off by trading the trio, amassing a large prospect haul to move the 'squatch up the prospect rankings. The prospect cupboard currently contains five pitchers and two catchers in the top 100, and post-draft #2 pick Alex Figueron should join them.

Open Teams
Austin Rattlers: Unless you are looking for a challenge, this is the team to pick up, as Austin is coming off a semi-final finish and a Shoehi Ohtani like player in line for his first year of arbitration. They have a lot of pitching talent and are just a few bats away from a title.
