Beta Testers Needed for Roster Builder App

Hello fellow baseball fans,

For anyone who’s ever stared at their Perfect Team collection at 2 a.m., convinced there has to be a better roster hidden in there somewhere… this is for you.

After weeks of development, testing, optimizing, and wrestling with spreadsheets that should honestly apologize, I’m proud to introduce Perfect Teammate — a powerful desktop app built to create the strongest, smartest, and most competitive rosters for both Regular and Salary Cap Perfect Team tournaments.

Perfect Teammate analyzes every card you own, applies customizable scoring modifiers, evaluates lineup roles, pitching distribution, salary constraints, and then uses an optimization engine to assemble the best roster your collection can produce.
Whether you’re chasing balance, stacking power bats, tightening your pitching core, or trying to squeeze every last point out of a brutal cap format, the app finds the lineup that gives you the edge.

Perfect Teammate also includes a dedicated Variant Manager, letting you assign and track card variants directly inside the app. The Variant screen keeps everything organized so the optimizer always evaluates your cards with their true value.

And then there are the Modifiers — the beating heart of Perfect Teammate’s scoring engine. This is where you sculpt your team’s identity. Want a lineup built around raw power? Dial it up. Prefer lockdown defense or flawless plate discipline? Shift the sliders. Every modifier changes how your cards are evaluated, multiplying each stat by the weight you choose.

In seconds, you can tailor your scoring model to match your strategy, your tournament, or your mood. It’s customization without chaos, and it turns roster-building into something that feels both analytical and personal.

Once your scoring is set, all you have to do is enter the parameters of your tournament — salary cap, roster size, pitcher requirements, DH or no DH — and let Perfect Teammate do the rest. The builder evaluates every eligible card in your collection and assembles the strongest possible roster using your scoring system.

It doesn’t just give you a lineup. It gives you the full roster plus alternates, perfectly structured for the tournament you’re entering. In a few seconds, you’ll have a roster that matches the format, fits the cap, and squeezes every drop of value out of your card pool.

If you want to explore your collection before building a roster, Perfect Teammate gives you complete control with its View Card List screen. You can filter, sort, and compare every card you own to see exactly how your chosen modifiers have shaped the scoring.

Every position is fully normalized, meaning a first baseman, a catcher, and a center fielder can be compared on equal footing. No more guessing, no more mental math — you can instantly spot undervalued players, identify role fits, and understand in plain numbers how your scoring system affects every position.

I’m looking for a handful of beta testers who are willing to put up with a few bugs, some rough edges, and the occasional odd behavior as we refine this into something truly special. If you’re the kind of player who enjoys shaping tools that shape the game, you’ll be helping build the literal Perfect Teammate — a companion that makes roster building smarter, faster, and a whole lot more fun. Message me for more info.
