Minor Leaguers retiring
Richard Taylor - 27 - Got as high as AAA in 1911-12. Had three different stints in the Superbas organization, last joining on a minor league contract earlier this month. John McCloskey - 31 - Appeared in 13 ML games, all with Brooklyn. Came in a 7-player trade from Cleveland back in 1907. He was the last player from that deal under contract anywhere. Bill Lattimore - 29 - Reached as high as AAA in 1908-09. Spent his entire career in the Superb organization after being taken in the 4th Round of the 1907 Draft. Dan William - 31 - Topped out at AA. Signed minor league deal with Brooklyn back in May. Norogumi Tanaka - 30 - Got as high as AA. Signed minor league deal with Brooklyn back in 1911.
