I don't think an extension for Skubal is in the works. They are not going to match the years or dollars he is looking for. Love Verlander coming back on a one year deal. They need depth. Someone will get hurt and bringing back a local legend who was pretty good down the stretch for the Giants last season is an easy win. Way better than taking a flyer on a reclamation project for probably the same amount of money.

I am in the D+ to C- range. I think there have been some mild upgrades to the bullpen but, that is it.

I would change this to a B-. With no offensive upgrades, I just can't go any higher.

I mean this is been going on forever. I absolutely remember Griffey Jr. catching heat for wearing his hat backwards as a rookie. If Clark doesn't blow two routine fly balls in LF in a spring game I'm sure this wouldn't have been an issue. In the immortal words of Crash Davis:

Skubal should be ready to go with plenty of rest opting out of any big game for the WBC. Where have we seen this before???
