The second half wasn't.

The Rays beat the Jays, 11-2.

David Martin had a nice game, going 3 for 4 with a homer, but a Juan Ibanez homer in the 9th gave the Rays a 6-5 win over Toronto.

Josh Bell also homered for the Jays.

Pete Bent went 4 for 5 with a home run and a pair of doubles, leading the Jays to a 9-6 win over the Mariners.

Incredibly, Bent, Ronny Carvajal, and Clinton Jones all got their 20th stolen bases of the season, in the same game!

Samir Duenez also homered for Toronto.

Juan Munoz, Bluefield, won the same award for the Appalachian League.

For the Bigs it was Chris Robinson, Rays & Quintiliano Biancardi, Phillies

The Jays edged up a spot to #21 on the Weekly Power Rankings.

Bluefield players retiring:

Dennis Donnelly. 27 year old SP who made it to AAA back in 2024. He signed with the Blue Jays back in May.

Dallas Lynch. 31 year old SP with over 130 games at AAA. He was in the Toronto organization since July.

Paul Davis. 27 year old RP who made it to AAA in 2023 and 2024. Signed with the Jays in May.

Jack Riley. 28 year old SP with 2 AAA games back in 2023. He was in the Toronto organization since July.

Antonio Bojorquez. 29 year old SP who never got past AA. Originally signed a minor league deal with Toronto back in 2013. He was released in 2021 before rejoining the organization back in March.
