Crash on startup/Unable to open or create saved_game folder

Hello everyone, I'm kinda stuck here. When I attempt to open the game, I'm met with "OOTP found that the crashed on startup flag is set." I click OK, which leads to another prompt of APP FRAMEWORK::startup- unable to open or create the saved games folder. This stemmed from the save file being corrupt, I think? Even though I saved it properly.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it. I've tried noentry3d still won't open the game. I've verified the game, it's fine. I've reinstalled my graphics card driver. I've tried creating a saved_games folder, didn't work.
I'm running on PC through Steam and I have no way to open the game because it crashes due to the APP FRAMEWORK error. Short of deleting everything and starting from scratch, I've done about all I do.
If someone could please lend me a hand I'd love to get back to playing again.

Most likely the issue here is with the paths.cfg file. It probably has an invalid path set.

You'll need to find and delete that (a reinstall will not automatically do this) and then things should work right again.

On a PC, this is typically found in the AppData folder, which is a hidden folder.

Something like AppData\Roaming\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 27\config

If you go to the Windows search function and type %appdata% that should open the app data folder, and then you can navigate to the OOTP specific sub-folders and delete the paths.cfg from there.

Okay, so that worked to get the game to start up finally.
I still receive a couple of errors.
1. Could not write to the following folder.
2. When I attempt to open a "new game," the game will try to load and crash out after finishing the load. I also notice that when I close out the program, I receive an error of DATABASE::save_database -Could not open or create league folder.

Sorry for all the weird issues. I hope you can help.
