Update #17 For Cinemaodyssey's Facepack
The link in my initial post in this thread has been updated to include the 17th edition of my Facepack. This edition includes all player debuts from the 2026 season as of April 13, several missing players, numerous newspaper finds and upgrades to a lot of photos. I've been focused heavily on more front-facing photos of players to better represent their features.

Harry Miller- SABR has corrected this ID, who's record was previously attributed to Cyclone Miller for the game of 10/1/1884. A photo was found of Miller in the 1883 Pottsville team picture. Red Steiner- I had the wrong picture for Steiner (a duplicate of "Ben Steiner"). Roy Hoar- SABR research has chosen to use Hoar's real name instead of the alias "John McGraw" he used to play in 1914 I have also updated the Negro League Facepack through 1943. I admit this project has been slowed up a lot, and I regret it since Ctrane has sent me a lot of additional material to sift through. I'll get to it eventually... As always, if you have any questions or comments regarding the Facepack please reach out. |

Harry (Cyclone) Miller 1884
Please try to clarify my confusion in respect of Harry formerly Cyclone Miller. You state that there is an image of Miller with Pottsville. I have two different images of Miller, one from 1887 with Lincoln and another. I guess the other could be the one you refer to with Pottsville, however, the image in the facepack is a third different image, probably with Pottsville . Images attached. Image with Lincoln first.

Premiere of the M-C-U Facepack
After Cinemaodyssey took over updating and improving the MLB Player Facepack in 2022 (which he has done incredibly well--thank you, CO!), I turned my attention to managers, coaches, and umpires (M-C-U). During the past four years I have primarily focused on identifying all in-game (in the dugout, on the field, or in the bullpen) coaches.
While MLB had rather strict guidelines through 2012, those rules became more like suggestions over the past dozen or so years, until teams had essentially free reign to add coaches to their in-game staff. Some teams have had more than 10 coaches performing in-game duties. I have included photos of all coaches I could confirm appeared in uniform during a game during that period, but more will certainly be found. Please note that I am not including bullpen catchers in my coaches list, even though some also carry coach-like titles. You can download the M-C-U Facepack through the information page link in my signature line, or directly here.
