Game slows down to few frames per second after 20 mins on PT

Hi there

I've had issues with lag & frame rate slowing in the past 10 years with OOTP but this year is by far the worst it's ever been and it's every single time I've been playing PT for 20 mins or so.

Issue happening when I'm buying cards on mission screen or setting line up.

I have disabled Window search, I have disabled facegen, removed OOTP from the antivirus list & also removed OOTP from being on onedrive as I've seen that suggested. Yet still same issue which slows down the entire PC even once i've closed OOTP.

Tried alot of other high spec & high data usage games on Steam and not one of them has caused this issue. Also tried OOTP 26 and that runs fine, so it's clearly an OOTP27 issue.

I'd also say it's got far worse since last update. Prior to update it was happening every so often but since it's consistent. I even uninstalled Steam & the game and reinstalled to see if it was an issue with files and it's just as bad. Any suggestions?

We're looking into this as urgently as we can, but it's a very hard thing to troubleshoot since it seems very system specific, and in most cases, somewhat sporadic even then.

Since it sounds like it's a fairly consistent and quick issue for you though, maybe you can help us a bit here?

It would be extremely useful for us to be able to have a video of everything you do in-game from the time you start OOTP until you notice the lag occurring.

If you (or anyone else seeing this) could do that and post a link here, it might be a big help to us in trying to track down potential causes.

Also, are you playing in fullscreen or windowed? What resolution? If you change that, does this still happen?

Windowed & on Steam. I'll try it full screen now and will screen record.

But in general, all I've done on PT is click on missions, buy cards to complete missions, open the packs from these and then sorted my roster.

Haven't touched any other screens as this issue keeps happening. Mainly noticed it when buying cards on missions screen (if i've bought a number over a few mins) but has happened once or twice when sorting my roster

So after changing it to full screen I haven't had the issue happen at all. So think Windowed might be the issue.

I'm going to try it again windowed later today to see if it goes very slow again to make sure this isn't just a fluke. Will confirm once I have tested it.

This is quite interesting, thanks.

EDIT: Based on some stuff we're seeing, it's possible there may be some weirdness that may not be fullscreen vs widowed per say, but might have more to do with standard vs non-standard resolutions. (especially more widescreen, like default windowed resolutions on many laptops)
