UPDATE:
July 30, 2026: I have gone forward with a much easier way to download/install. The game was getting atrociously huge. As mentioned, I found the issue. The game will have a release that will be the full game with art and the data files (8.22 GB). Or, you can download the lite version, which is just the quickstart (1.6GB), followed by the artwork if you choose to do so (4.57GB).
May 29, 2026: I discovered why the file was so bulky. I had multiple game files that were roughly 3GB in size and nuked them.

Databases have been created to view the historical aspects of the league. You now have a database dropdown to view the team histories for the quickstart like a baseball-reference page (minus the top player via WAR, manager(s). Just W-L, result, finish, playoff result, and other stats. You can view this database HERE. The team and league select drop downs are the only thing you can select. Teams are organized by fixed MLB, European MLB, International, and lower tier international (i.e. never promoted to first division). The league drop downs feature all leagues and pyramid specific; tournaments are not included in all leagues but in tournament specific drops (Champions League, WBC, other tournaments--domestic)

All-time Historical MLB stats (because OOTP only calculates the parent league and not all major leagues) now have a historical all-time sheet, with a WIP for a player dropdown. The links to these will be posted soon, once the data is uploaded.

IMPORTANT: IF YOU EXPAND ANY LEAGUE, YOU WILL NEED TO VERIFY ALL PARENT TEAMS from the global settings database tab.

Thanks, man! Some of your ideas helped out a TON! That's where I got the idea of creating the anonymous form for those to submit players.

When I laid this project out I originally had a 2009 or 2010 quickstart planned. I continue going forward with the 2009 launch. NO ETA. Have about a week or two of file cleaning to do.

• Adjusted lower pyramid levels in most European countries to start after first division play.

• ADDED Associations for select European pyramids to allow either: all lower divisions draft together, separate from the ML-level clubs. This applies to England, Germany, Italy, France, and The Netherlands.
• In countries where Level 1 is not MLB-level, they are apart of the pooled draft. This applies at the present time to the Irish League, Czechia and Belgium.

At some point today or tomorrow I will upload the modified 2008 Quickstart. What is different? I discovered the bloating file size was not all the game itself, but duplicate auto-save, backup, and incident report game files. The game files themselves calcucate up to roughly 2.5 to 3 GB of data.

The original 2008 ZIP was 17.5GB. The new one comes in at 8.7 GB!

BIG UPDATE!
2010 Quickstart will be uploaded by the end of the day. I've got a few kinks worked out on the bulk side, realizing what files should be in a quickstart and what is just bulky. At last check, the zip file is now 8.22GB, as this is a huge upgrade from the previous 15GB+ starts. It'll probably be much smaller than that but realizing all that is really needed is the data files and the images, this cuts out all the excess clutter.

I will update the 2009 post above about what has been added for 2010 with (2010) in ()'s beside the league.

Something I discovered while uploading the quickstart:

The .dat files which are primarily what is used for quickstarts is just 3.21GB, with just a wee bit over 5GB of art (ballcaps, jerseys, pants, socks, logos). I may go forward and just release the art separate from the data after this release.

Going forward I will separate the artwork from the game and have it made to download separately.

This is how it will go:

A zip file containing the quickstart
A zip file containing all artwork
A zip file that will also provide updated artwork missing from the bulky file

Doing it this way will allow for the data release to be:

• Quickstart only with no art (1.6 GB)
• A separate art file to install that will have all the artwork up to 2010 (4.6 GB)
• A third "add-on" pack that will feature any new teams/leagues art added over time
