Pictures - now you see 'em, now you don't!

Player pics keep disappearing. These are the real pics, not facegen.

I'll reinstall a pic manually, only to have it disappear again shortly thereafter. Same pics I've been using for several versions now.

Also, the "small" pics (for the daily scores page) are having similar issues.

I can't be the only one.

Go to the facegen tab in Game Settings and try setting the top selection to "none" from "all players" (if that is how it is set currently). "None" was the default from last year. This year it defaults to creating fictional facegens ("All players"). Then go to the .lg folder and find the "faces.dat". Delete it that wipes the preloade cache entirely. Assuming your settings are set for photos correctly, it will load a clean photo going forward from the photo pack and with "None" on no new facegens should be created in-game.

I tried that but it still has the same issue. When hovering over the player the photo is shown, but when I click on the player its the facegen,

Maybe post a screenshot of your facegen tab from game settings. Maybe a fellow photo user will see something.

I've been experiencing the same issue since the latest update.

To fix this, I had to disable all FaceGen-related settings in the options, then delete `faces.dat` from the save folder as well as all generated image files within `news\html\images\person_pictures` and `news\html\images\profile_pictures`.

As a result of this bug, it is currently impossible to use photos for actual players while keeping FaceGen enabled for fictional players.
