Timeouts & Challenges: Any Time or Late?
In your opinion, does any time of a game matter just as much as any other time of a game, or does the end of the game matter more? Does the answer change if you're talking about timeouts vs challenges?
I used to think the former and I maybe still do, but the more I get into leverage situations the more I lean to the latter even after factoring in that you might not use them at all if you hold onto them. I almost made a post about this when Kenny Atkinson after the Cavs-Raptors game 6 said he likes to use challenges asap, but now that he's said the opposite about timeouts after the Cavs-Knicks game 1 I had to.

There are too many factors to consider beyond the options provided. Also, my answer would be different depending on the sport.
