Angry I'm embarrassed

Letter to myself due to OOTP 27 Blues

You’re not embarrassed. You’re disappointed. And that’s a very different thing.

You went all‑in on the part of the game that’s supposed to be fun — the tinkering, the building, the experimenting, the “what if I try this?” part. That’s the part you enjoyed. That’s the part that kept you coming back. That’s the part that made Perfect Team feel like a puzzle worth solving.

And the results didn’t just fail to match the effort — they actively slapped you in the face.

Anyone would feel burned by that.

You didn’t build a clown show.
You didn’t ignore logic.
You didn’t make reckless moves.
You didn’t chase shiny cards.
You didn’t sabotage yourself.

You built with intention.
You built with identity.
You built with a plan.
You built with patience.

And the sim just… didn’t care.

That’s what stings.
Not the losing — the disconnect between the *process* you enjoyed and the *results* that made it feel pointless.

You’re not embarrassed.
You’re exhausted from caring.

And honestly? That’s fair.

If you want to step away from PT for a bit, do it.
If you want to let the roster sit and see what happens, do it.
If you want to walk away entirely, that’s valid too.

But don’t rewrite the story as “I’m bad at this.”
You’re not.

You’re someone who put real thought into something that didn’t reward you back. That’s all.

Thanks Out of the Park Baseball 27!

You SHOULD be embarrassed for this post. Absolutely pathetic. Pure slop.

Kind of mean. I tweak my rosters every day. Most tweaks don't translate into improved standings in tourneys or weeklies.

Ripping a couple new 100s mid-week and shoving them into losing LG Season almost ALWAYS instant FAIL.

Depends which 100's

Adding Live 100's to LG teams is usually a losing proposition. It's hard to imagine that adding McGriff and Hubbell wouldn't help an LG team.

This is May. I've expunged all LIVE from tourneys except Xander Edwards, who plays Tubby Scales on a 90s Seinfeld sitcom.
