Can I turn on the DH rule in a Historical Save?

Pardon me if this has been asked before, but, can I turn on the DH rule for the National League in a Challenge Mode Historical save that's currently in 2001?

I see the, "NL Designated Hitter Rule," on the League setting menu, but it's grayed out and I can't click on it.

I don't know for sure, but it's likely greyed out unless you're in the offseason (and maybe preseason). Are you in the OS? But it might also be always disabled in challenge mode.
