There are clearly haves and have-nots early in the season.

Leading in batting and pitching WAR, the Gulls are threatening to fly away with the UP League pennant. The White Pines, considered the best team for a few years now, are struggling big time.

The Barn Owls and Bears are in the customary driver's seat in the LP League, tied at 10-5.

Eric Correll, the Jack Rabbits closer, is on a 21-game successful save streak.
