I got crushed in Diamond and Low Diamond tourneys last year.

Now I sell almost all LIVE and historic Diamonds to build income to finance my Silver habit. Literally the same tourney rewards but you can own 98% of all Silver cards without breaking the bank.

My 2-3 month purgatory in main PT almost done (now getting to 100% Perfect). Just Tubby, Wilson and Joe left.

Jimmy Ryan, Willie Wells, Eddie Collins, and Davey Lopes are some of the other good ones. Terry Shumpert can hit and fill a bench role.

Shumpert got 85 steals against 25 caught my 3 years in HG. Excellent at #1 in lineup.

I had him as a regular at second base for a couple of my teams earlier this year, and he always hit well in the one or two slot. At this point, the Lopes card is a better choice for a similar price.

2B in bad place right now. 120+s needed for defense..

Kinsler only hits Lefties but turns DPs like a banshee. Dobie already on SS. Cano can't run.

Jackie excellent choice but rarely for sale.

Mantle would be hilarious SS.

Jackie isn't a buy card, he's an earn card. Look over the rewards for the missions. Many Historical Diamond packs, and you get the Perfect Jackie as a topper. Diamond Jackie is within reach at the Clubhouse, and that plus the 100 missions will get you a Historical Perfect pack, too.

Yep, I should have added I can't make the math work for me ie, cost to complete the missions less reward value > L10. Or at least that's the math I use. Over 1,300 packs opened and only at 1/6 on that final mission.

Main team has plateaued at High Gold. Good enough to play .600 ball there, not good enough to stick in Low Diamond (two trips, two 86-loss seasons). New team clubbed the Iron competition as expected (139 wins and the championship) and is playing .600 ball at High Silver after a super-promotion. Also having some success in Iron tournaments, grabbing 100 CS and four tournament wins so far.

Not really debating whether I should acquire Diamond Jackie to complete the mission for a Historical Rainbow. Too much fear that I'll pull a Derringer or no-mission reliever who isn't as good as Betances or Hoffman. Different story if it drops to 40 CS, but 65 is still a bit high. I can wait, as I'm still sitting on 40K points with a team that's in first place...unless I'm enticed by some new cards on Thursday.

Been rattling around in HG/LD/HD. In HD now but losing games to teams with lesser talent.

Had some amazing luck lately on pack pulls though between a couple of spotlight packs, regular packs, and a couple perfect packs. In the last 2 weeks, I've pulled an Arky Vaughan, Ketel Marte, Kevin Brown variant, Jose Altuve, Lefty O'Doul, and a duplicate Vida Blue and duplicate Whitey Ford. Only had one dud spotlight pack. Still can't seem to win the games I should win even with this team.

I've had the most pack luck with this team than I've ever had in PT but the curse of bad rolls in game is haunting me. Pack luck allowed me to sell a few players early for some good PP, allowing me to live in PT pretty comfortably the last 5-6 weeks. Wish I could win at the slots like this...! :P

Two F2P teams; one peaked in HG and the second in LD. At this point it's all about surviving - very unlikely either team will climb higher unless they pull a "Hail Mary" from a free pack. With the All Star game coming up, I'm going to go into watch-mode while I return to my Classic game leagues. I really do wish there was a "start over" option for the second half of the year, but suspect that might be more wishful thinking than reality.

Being in the top 10% of all teams as F2P is enough to be happy about till next version.
