Made some owners for 1871. Used real photos were i could find them and had chatgpt use its imagination for the others. Its hard to pin point an owner for a team in the early days. I tried to just get a name that be the closest to an owner.
Oh and i tried to age them to what their age would be in 1871. If i didn't know birth date i just used age 50. For players i use age 25. George Gage George Mayer Hiram Waldo Ivers Whitney Adams John Ford Evans Last edited by BaseballMan; 06-07-2026 at 12:29 AM. |

Hey fellas, got a quick question for ya? I've thought about using ai for a mod I'm working on instead of 700 million facegens I'd need lol ... What are your recommendations for best AI app to use? Any advice on what kinds of prompts to give? This would be modern day players. I'd use regular pics but I like uniforms changing to match transactions drafts etc

You may like more than one. One thing i would advise is organizing your project. In my project i am putting every player in uniform of the team he played for and at the age he was that year. So i used chatgpt to create prompts for every player on the roster. I then organized real players of players to every team they played for. Trust me it is a whole lot easier to create ai images from players on a single team than doing a single player at a time. If you choose chatgpt i would advise opening multiple tabs for chatgpt and that way you can do several players at at once. Otherwise i think chatgpt would just do 1 player at a time or make a group photo. |

I think I meant Buster. I found a number of players but thought it would be best to initially ask for a few and be satisfied with however many you'd like to spin your artistry on. The toughest would be (1) Don Reid Williams (1963 Twins pitcher). The only posts I've seen of him on this site are scratchy black and whites. The other desires are: Trench Davis (1987 Braves outfielder), Steve Demeter (1960 Indians 3B), Steve Gajkowski (1998 Mariners pitcher), Granny Hamner (1962 KC A's pitcher), Danny Kravitz (1960 KC A's catcher), Moe Thacker (1963 Cardinals catcher), Johnny Blanchard (1965 Braves or KC A's catcher), John Romano (1967 Cardinals catcher), Ted Lepcio (1961 Twins or Chisox infielder), and Don Blasingame (1966 KC A's 2B). I graciously thank you in advance for anything you do.

Don Reid Williams - 1963 Twins
Here's what I got using a Dallas-Ft. Worth Rangers photo as the source:

"WOW!" is really an understatement. I could not believe this could be generated so quickly based on the B/W photos you had to use. I really appreciate this. Thank you! Krantzbucks did post a large colorized image on 9/14/2013, which I just came across. Would that have helped ? Either way, I'm still pleased.
