I was wondering if somebody could give me the proper pronunciation of Blasingame like below:

Curt Blefary--BLEF-ah-ree

Of course, "BLEF" is the accented syllable.

This one was new to me. Alvarado played all of one game for the '77 Mets, but he did make the Dairylea Photo Album.

The only time I spoke to him, Wade pronounced it BLAHZING-game. Heavy emphasis on the first two syllables and NOT the way Will Ferrell pronounced it in the SNL sketch where he claims to be "the other" Wade Blazing-Game.

In short it was a "blah" not a "blaze."

Not sure about Don; think it was the same. As a bonus here's a Topps Vault of Wade from Spring Training 1966:

I am hoping that someone has in their collection, a color pic of this pitcher in an orange cap and those 70's rainbow kits of the Astros. The bar has been set pretty low as this is what I currently have....Help!!

Here are a couple of color options or, if you prefer a portrait, a B&W that a skilled colorizer could improve for you.

That is a photoshopped picture of Kucek with the Syracuse AAA club. Someone posted a small color or colorized Jays yearbook picture of him here some months back.

I took the picture during warm-ups at the Vet in Philly in the late summer of 1986. He had been sent back down to the minors in late May and had not made it to Philly before. I am fairly certain it was Chuck Hensley. Unless he and Davis switched jerseys just to prank me.

However, you have caused me to pause on a 100% call on this. The picture I believe to be Hensley does resemble Davis somewhat, except for the hair style and color. In researching this further, I noted that Hensley sported a mustache in his 1986 Phoenix Firebird photo. He also is mustached in each of his various minor league cards up until his last in 1990 with Williamsport (Mariners farm team). I know mustaches, hair styles, and hair colors come and go and come again, but that is a pretty fair amount of time.

Anyone else have an opinion on this?

I don't have a full uniform shot, but here's a pretty good head shot of Leroy Reams with the Phillies.
The source of this photo is a 1983 Phillies Yearbook article about players who had extremely short
careers with the Phillies by then-Phillies PR director, Larry Shenk. Fittingly the article is titled
"Who Was That Guy?". Reams reached the Phillies & the major leagues for only one game in 1969.
I believe he later coached at the Phillies AA farm team, Reading (PA) of the Eastern League.
