Johnson was a Rule V draft pick by the Orioles from the Reds in the November 1972 draft. He was returned to the Reds. The photo would then date from 1973.

I tried reaching out to index helper by email. His name is Jerry Lynch.
His response:

"I'm developing a new suite of tools for later this year. Please check back in a few months.

I decided to try something with the KH folder. The last image was Les Cain at kh140. I changed the link from http://images.auctionhelper.com/imag...6/KF/kf829.jpg (Starrette) to http://images.auctionhelper.com/imag...6/KH/kh141.jpg Got this message:

The site is up hosting the older files but only if you have the exact image url.

Using the URLs, I found out today that more than 400 images have been posted in Folder MK, but they all are either B&W Batman images or a Topps throwback set in 1960 format.
No Vault images that I can find. Folder KH still at 140.

He's the same Michael Norton Johnson, born 3/2/1951, who made his major league debut with the Padres in 1974.

Going through the treasure trove that is Steve's Baseball Photography, most of them are ID'd. This was not. Any chance this is Dave Duncan?

No one posted the ID of MJ 794-795 until he turned up on eBay today. And he winds up being a great story!

He's Roger "Bo" Quiroga, who was the seventh overall player picked in the awful 1971 draft (the first six were Danny Goodwin, Jay Franklin, Tommy Bianco, Condredge Holloway, Roy Branch and Roy Thomas) by the Senators, but he never played in their system. Before the 1972 season, he was a PTBNL in the Curt Flood deal. He never advanced beyond Class A with the Phillies due to injury, but reached the big leagues of politics in 1998 when he was elected mayor of Galveston, Texas.



He served until 2004 -- and then became a high school baseball coach!
