Excellent end to the season! 1-0 shutout to stay alive before the Bloodbugs kick into another gear with a commanding win to end it. I have to imagine they'll be the favorite or one of the favorites for next season

With that said, the team scored 713 runs during the regular season and their pitching was quite good in the postseason, including holding the Sox to one run in each of the last two games, as well as that masterful series against a talented Sunshine Tidings team. So, will the Bloodbugs be the favorites in 2307? I am not sure what PAM will say, but I would say that they have as good as a chance as any to repeat with the stellar offense that they have.

Dalton Farm Fog Crawlers: C Habe Corpussle, age 17 Draft Analysis Although he was picked 4th overall by the Wild Gatorclaws, SP Hangover McNulty (Mad Mulligan) is considered the top prospect by OSA scouts for pitcher success. McNulty has a three-pitch repertoire with his fastball being his best, though he does need to improve his control. The 1st overall pick was SP Carl Speedboat of the Angry Anaconda Godmodes. Speedboat has four pitches with a strong fastball that tops out at around 98 MPH. Speedboat needs to work hard on his control for both avoiding walks and home runs. At the 10th pick by the Dark Bloodworms, 2B Kimon Greggs (Wixon Shovels) was the first non-pitcher taken. Greggs is a speedy player who could work his way into a leadoff spot on the Bloodworms. He is an all-around IF but may be best at 2B in the NWL. SP Cheese Wagstaff (Starport Nuka Hubologists) was the first player taken by a Vim! League team: Eden Meadows Anglers at 2nd overall. Wagstaff has three pitches with his fastball being his best. He needs to work on better movement on his pitches, especially his splitter. Outside of the 1st round, there are no real players of interest. Many players are expected to be cut in favor of leftover players from the CBO draft. ---------------------------------------------------------- Nuka News Update Reporting on the NWL, APL, NWLR, and BBL Leagues by Evan Guy 22 November 2306 NWL Award WInners Hitter - Ah Oona took Nuka World League by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 25. "Everyone on the team put in a lot of hard work this season," he told reporters. "It's always nice when it's acknowledged in some way." Christmasstory led Grape to a first place finish in the North Bradberton Division. The Painted Ghouls ended up with a 55-35 record. 2307 CBO Offseason
I have some narrative to add for both this dynasty and the Fallout: New Vegas dynasty. I find it more time-consuming to write my creative pieces than to report on the CBO, so I am behind on some stories and will need to backdate some. Anyway, I have simulated ahead to January 1, 2307, in the CBO dynasty, so let me update that first.
BNN Report News from the CBO, MML, BMU, GBRL, and Youth Leagues by Nat Wright-Kawolski 1 January 2307 Updates Around the CBO and Its Affiliates CBO News and Notes There was one major rule change in the CBO for the 2307 season. Some items that came up but failed to get enough votes were proposals to expand the regular season CBO roster to 26 or 27 players; change the schedule to place interassociation (NCA vs SCA) games in the middle of the season; and create new tiers of pay scales for players. The only change is that the CBO has now nixed trades between the CBO and the Season Pass Association, citing that teams are using workarounds for the CBO trade deadline and salary to cheat the system. Commissioner Nate Howard has stated that he would prefer stars remain in the CBO. Supposedly, he was displeased with the move by Starlight to send star SP Alex Alexson to the NWL's Quantum Nukalurks for low-rated players, so he forced another team to trade for him. The Killers will also need to send their 2307 2nd and 9th-round picks to University Point because of the high cost of acquiring Alexson. Starlight cut one of the two players acquired in the trade, SP Frank William Kidd, proving that the deal was not in the best interest of the team or the CBO. A third CBO team has officially moved its headquarters following the moves of Warwick to Spectacle Island and Abernathy to Bunker Hill. The former Finch Farm Four Leafs have taken their new home in Nahant where they are now the Celtics, a throwback to a pre-War professional basketball team in Boston. Finch Farm is now the MML affiliate of the Celtics and is known as the Shamrocks. Starlight has decided to keep its Killers name, settling on the "Psycho" logo of a vaultboy holding a gun and knife. Team colors and uniforms remain the same, only the main logo, which changed from the "Lady Killer" to the "Pint-Sized Slasher," has changed. There were also several minor league teams changing affiliations and team names. In the BMU, the Revere Beach team went from the Celtics to Shoremen, trading their team name with Nahant. The Clifton Vertibirds are now associated with Diamond City, and the Nahant team has a new team, the Brockton Irish. After the passing of Arlen Glass, the Atomatoys Factory has decided to no longer host a baseball team. Bunker Hill and Concord traded their BMU teams, the Mayoral Shelter Tricentennials now with the 75ers and the Arlington Caps now with the Radstags. In the GBRL, Nahant also has a new team, the Lowell Leprechauns. Lexington takes over the Taffington Boathouse Spy Hunters, dropping the Galleria Robotics Experts due to having the lowest fan attendance in the Commonwealth at all levels. Bunker Hill and Concord also traded their GBRL teams, the South Boston Patriots going to the 75ers and the Westing Estate team going to the Stags. Westing Estate will also now be known as the Alphas with their mascot an Alpha Deathclaw. In the SCYL, there are four new teams, two teams dropping parts of their names, and slight realignment. Joining the SCYL will be the East Providence Skulls, the North Providence Phantoms, the Sandwich Screamers, and the Wareham Comets. The West Dennis Menaces will go by the Dennis Menaces, though their uniforms still sport the "West" name. Also, the Brown U Bubblers dropped the "U" on their team name. Sandwich and Wareham join the CCL's Nantucket Sound Division, and the Chatham Lighthouse slides to the CCL's Cape Cod Bay Division. North Providence joined the PL's Seekonk River Division, and the Skulls joined the PL's Narragansett Bay Division. Commissioner Nate Howard is again investigating the "Creature Conspiracy," this time in the Glowing Sea. Jimmy LaRue will take over operations until Howard returns. 2307 Nuka Cup News The 2307 Nuka Cup will follow the same Round Robin format with the host settlements being County Crossing, Roxbury, Sunshine Tidings, and Vault 81. The tournament will run from February 24 through March 23 with the Round Robin Round February 24-March 12, and the Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Final Series happening from March 14 through March 23. County Crossing will host University Point, Nordhagen Beach, Diamond City, Bunker Hill, and Goodneighbor. Roxbury will host Starlight, Jamaica Plain, Concord, Atom, and Lexington. Sunshine Tidings will host Spectacle Island, Salem, Egret, Nahant, and FHE. And Vault 81 will host Easy Town, Oberland, Fort Hagen, Quincy, and The Slog. Spring Training begins March 24, so every team can fully participate in the week-long, final roster decisions this season. Roxbury has won the past two Nuka Cups. From the Nick Valentine Files - Case 006969
Chapter 1: A Priest, a Rabbi, and a Synth Walk into a Bar
Chapter 2: Roses Are Red, Blood Is Too Chapter 3: Trouble at the Third Rail Chapter 4: Crooners and Swooners Chapter 5: The Silver Shroud Strikes Chapter 6: Mission: Nate October 2289 A Hubflower for Magnolia: The Case of the Jilted Lovers Chapter 7: The Web of Deceit The neon lights of Goodneighbor flickered like the last gasps of a dying star, casting long shadows that seemed to whisper secrets. As I trudged through the mire of uncertainty that this case had become, my synthetic mind was a whirlpool of data, processing every interaction, every clue, every dead end with meticulous precision. Walking the streets, I mulled over the recent developments. Nate wasn't our Silver Shroud. That much was clear now. If not him, then who? Kent Connolly was the obvious choice, but the man lacked the spine for such grim work. My circuits couldn't digest the thought of Kent as a cold-blooded killer. It didn't compute. Lost in thought, I barely noticed as I arrived at the Third Rail. The familiar buzz of the bar greeted me like an old friend, but tonight, it felt different. Tonight, it was the stage for my investigation. I found myself at the bar, a glass of something strong and nondescript in front of me. Whitechapel Charlie, with his usual flair, slid over with that look in his robotic eyes – the one that said he knew more than he let on. "Evening, Nick. You look like you've got the weight of the world on your shoulders," Charlie remarked, polishing a glass with a rag that looked like it had seen better days. "Feels like it, Charlie. This case... it's got me going in circles. I thought I had a lead with Nate, but that turned out to be a dead end." Charlie leaned in, lowering his voice to a conspiratorial whisper. "This town, it's full of shadows, Nick. Everyone's got something to hide. Maybe you're looking in the wrong places." His words echoed in my mind. Shadows. Secrets. Goodneighbor thrived on them. "You might be onto something, Charlie. This killer, they're making a statement, but it's not about Magnolia or her suitors. It's about power, control." Charlie nodded, his mechanical parts whirring softly. "Power's a dangerous game in Goodneighbor. You sure you want to be playing it, detective?" I took a sip from my glass, the liquid burning a trail down my throat. "I don't have much of a choice. Someone's got to unravel this mess." Pushing away from the bar, I made my way through the crowd, each face a mask of merriment or misery. My synthetic brain ticked over each interaction I'd had since this case began. The victims: each piece of the puzzle seemed to fit, yet the picture remained incomplete. Retreating to a quiet corner, I allowed myself a moment of introspection. My existence, caught between the world of machines and men, often provided a unique perspective on cases like these. But this time, it felt like a curse. The more I learned, the less I understood. The killer wasn't just erasing lives; they were tearing through the fabric of Goodneighbor, challenging the very essence of what made this place a haven for the lost and the damned. This wasn't just about Magnolia's allure or her independence. It was a direct assault on the sanctuary that Goodneighbor represented. As the night wore on, I realized that my investigation needed a new direction. It was time to confront those who wielded power in Goodneighbor, to look beyond the surface and into the murky depths where the true motives lay hidden. I stood up, my resolve hardened. Hancock, Whitechapel Charlie, even Bobbi No-Nose... no one was above suspicion now. The killer was hiding among us, cloaked in the familiar guise of a friend or an ally. With a deep, mechanical sigh, I prepared myself for the confrontations ahead. This case had become a tangled web of deceit and betrayal, and I, Detective Nick Valentine, was determined to untangle it. For Magnolia, for the victims, and for Goodneighbor itself, I would shine a light into the darkest corners and expose the truth, no matter how ugly it might be. The game was afoot, and I was ready to face whatever demons lay in wait. And then I started to think. No! Not possible! Could it be Hancock himself who had developed a liking for Magnolia and would stop every suitor? Had not Nate already revealed that he saw Hancock murder Finn upon his first trip to Goodneighbor. Was not John Hancock, nee John McDonough, the one that kicked out the former mayor, convincing the people of Goodneighbor that Mayor Vic was evil? Was not Hancock the brother of secret synth Mayor McDonough of Diamond City? Thoughts circled around the possibility that I needed to turn my attention to Hancock. But why? But how? Then again, only he seemed capable of getting away with anything like this. Then again, he would have little motivation to do anything but just take Magnolia if he wanted her. No, no. These crimes were all by someone who wanted power. I felt the walls close in and then open again. Nate had to help me here, despite Magnolia's desires. The web of deceit was spun too widely. Only Nate could help me break those webs.

Replied to this post though because I was going to say I'm glad for this outcome. I actually really liked *all* of those designs and would hate for any to go to waste. |

CBO 2307 Outlook
BNN Report News from the CBO, MML, BMU, GBRL, and Youth Leagues by Nat Wright-Kawolski 22 February 2307 CBO Outlook 2307 As we head into the 2307 season, the 10th season of the full CBO, we wanted to take a look at where teams stand on this Friday before the 8th Nuka Cup begins. We here at BNN have crunched the numbers and came up with numbers of what a "perfect" season would be like. This estimation would assume that players stay injury-free and consistent with their performance expectations. We know that is not possible. but we do think the current system can give us an estimation of how the season may finish. We may have also broken PAM's code, but we will wait to compare our numbers to PAM's when the brainy assaultron's future prediction skills are displayed just before the regular season. Simply for our formula, the projected Sole Survivor Series for 2307 is definitively a rematch of County Crossing (57 total) vs Roxbury (61 total) with the Bloodbugs slightly ahead. Not only do we have a repeat, but the Bugs and Rad Sox have a maximum win total possibility of 98 and 96 wins, respectively! At the bottom of the scale, we see the Goodneighbor Hancocks and Nahant Celtics with a projected low of 27 and 28 wins, respectively. Since the Celtics are in the Brotherhood League with County Crossing, that could mean an extreme of finishing 70 games behind if the Bloodbugs meet their max record of 98-22 and Nahant finishes at their low of 28-92. Other contenders to win the Sole Survivor Series, determined by team totals (lowest to highest from 0-120) are Jamaica Plain (78), University Point (88), Nordhagen Beach (96), Oberland (98), and Spectacle Island (99). Based on this formula, the playoff seedings would be: NCA 1. County Crossing 2. Sunshine Tidings (111) 3. Nordhagen Beach 4. Starlight (121) 5. Easy Town (101) SCA 1. Roxbury 2. Jamaica Plain 3. University Point 4. Oberland 5. Spectacle Island Vault 81 (129), which finished with the best record in the SCA in 2306, would be the first team out, while Concord (143) would be the first team out in the NCA.

I just crunched numbers, and unless I am seeing something that is not there, County Crossing is separating itself from the rest of the NCA. It is likely they are true contenders for a while.

My renewed (or first time?) interest in the Bloodbugs is because they seem to be bucking the prevailing trend. Objectively they do have a good location (and long ago I explained why County Cross is one of my favorite settlements in game, despite the bug infestation), but it seems many of the "rural" teams are struggling right now. That's not a complain, hell, that's actually kind of realistic so if anything it's an anti-complaint. But again, that makes it interesting that the Bloodbugs refuse to conform. I guess that's also why I was pleased with the Goodneighbor storyline, despite in-character it being a real shame. Goodneighbor is a "big market" team, and yet, they're doing worse than the Angels (I'm not gonna sit here and think forever, but best real life big market team that's crap I could think of on short notice). It's just interesting. |

County Crossing is here to stay because they represent an important area of the Boston Commonwealth and have the NGTY Clinic and Health Supply. I made a zone map of the BL, which you can see what where each team occupies space. You can also imaging where the first expansion would be (spoiler: Malden).

2307 Nuka Cup
BNN Weekly Report This Week in the CBO, BMU, and GBRL by Nat Wright-Kawolski 2 March 2307 2307 Nuka Cup We are through the first week of the Nuka Cup, and one team is undefeated thus so far, while two teams have yet to win a game. One regional is evenly split of three teams winning both of their series thus far, and three teams looking for their first series win. Only one #1 seed has lost a series thus far, and just as many #6 seeds (two) have won a series as #2 seeds have lost. Let's look at a breakdown of each regional. Group A - County Crossing Last season, the University Point Deathclaws were the defending champions but came out cold in the Nuka Cup. This season, the County Crossing Bloodbugs are the defending champions. That means, the past two CBO champions are together in this regional. Well, two quickly reveal, both are 2-0 in their series thus far. The #2 Deathclaws have yet to lose, sweeping #5 Bunker Hill and then sweeping #4 Diamond City. County Crossing is also 2-0, sweeping #6 Goodneighbor and then winning two of three versus the 75ers. Nordhagen Beach and the Hancocks are tied for third at 1-1 with the Party Boys sweeping the Swatters and then losing the series to Goodneighbor, which means technically that the Hancocks are the #3 seed. Right now, teams are ordered by their overall record in the standings. Diamond City and Bunker Hill each lost their first two series and need to basically win their last three series to have a chance to move on. The Swatters have yet to win a game. Group B - Vault 81 This is our regional with three 2-0 teams and three 0-2 teams, with the undefeated teams being the top three seeds. Both #3 Oberland and the #1 Dwellers have gone 5-1 overall, while #2 Easy Town is 4-2. #6 The Slog is 2-4 overall, currently putting them in 4th place. All of the Ghouls, Fort Hagen, and Quincy need to win the rest of their series to have a chance to move on. Should any of them drop a series, the Round Robin Round will end their tournament. Group C - Roxbury Two SCA teams, #1 Roxbury and #3 Jamaica Plain, are the only two teams to start out 2-0. The Rad Sox swept #6 Lexington and then beat #5 Atom 2 out of 3. For the Red Rockets, they stopped #4 Concord by winning 2 of 3 and then swept the Synths who have yet to win a game. The Radstags and #2 Starlight are each 1-1. The Killers beat the Cats 2 out of 3 but then dropped the series to the Stags. Group D - Sunshine Tidings #3 Salem is the only team to start out 2-0 in what looks to be a challenging regional. The Witch Hats beat #4 Egret 2 out of 3 and then beat #6 FHE 2 out of 3 to go 4-2 overall. The Ninjas are the only team yet to win a series, losing to both the Hats and then getting swept by #2 Spectacle Island. All other teams are 1-1 with the Reapers and #1 Sunshine Tidings both 4-2 overall.

BNN Report News from the CBO, MML, BMU, GBRL, and Youth Leagues by Nat Wright-Kawolski 3 March 2307 What Do the T-51s Have Cooking? In our evaluation of teams and their ranking heading into the 2307 season, we had Oberland as the 6th-ranked team in the entire CBO, trailing frequent powerhouses County Crossing, Roxbury, Jamaica Plain, University Point, and Nordhagen Beach. So what have the T-51s done to build themselves from a team that has missed the playoffs eight-straight seasons to be there this season? Let us take a look. First of all, the 2306 season marked the first time the T-51s had a winning season since 2296-2298 when they won the Railroad League all three seasons. At the end of the season, Oberland finished just three games back of Jamaica Plain for the 5th-seed in the playoffs. They made moves during the 2306 season to try to make a playoff run, so we want to see what they have that could lead to more success in 2307. Looking at their position groups, they have several where they rank in the Top 5. One of those is the top left fielder in offseason acquisition LF Orcin Cardinal from the Nahant Celtics for pitchers Zack Million and Ryan Downing and 1B Steve Mirv, the #21 prospect. Cardinal is a three-time All Star with Finch Farm (now Nahant). The #1 overall pick in 2300, Cardinal offers average and power to a lineup that was not so bad before. The other #1 rank at his position is C Racky Westheim. Entering his 8th season with the T-51s and 6th as the starter, Westheim has been consistent in both offense and defense. Though he is not a power hitter, Westheim has a .318 career average with the past three seasons being .334 or above. Oberland will have two great pitchers by OSA standards, beginnings with ace SP Mesquite Williams. Previously a 1st-round pick (#8 overall) by Easy Town, Williams came to the T-51s in 2305 for an offseason trade for CF Sharkey Lurkfodder. Entering his second season as a full-time starter, Williams is looking to improve on his 12-13, 4.98 season in 2307. Scouts expect that he will. He is also the 2306 BosCom Positional Hitter Award winner at pitcher. Closer William Butcherman is another up-and-coming pitcher after three seasons with Oberland. In his career, Butcherman has 138 saves, a record of 22-26, and a 3.29 ERA. The middle of the infield is also a star's alley. It all starts with SS Stormin Normin MacDonald, the #1 overall pick in the 2302 draft. In his first full season with the T-51s, MacDonald batted .324 with 10 home runs and 55 RBI. While he did not earn any accolades in 2306, he is expected to make a jump forward in 2307. The 2B is Da Game. Originally a 1st-round pick (#11 overall) by Quincy in the 2300 draft, Game came to Oberland through a trade for SP Matt Udder. In his four seasons with Oberland, Game has been a consistently good gap hitter, batting .296 in his career with 28 career triples (T-51st all time), including a CBO-high 11 in 2305. Two other major contributors include players acquired in recent year. 1B Chase Doctorman, who was acquired from Cherry of the NWL after being dumped by Vault 81, hit .303 with 31 home runs and 88 RBI in 2306 with Oberland. SP Trolley Dodge, traded to the T-51s in 2306 from Finch Farm before the trade deadline, went 8-13 with a 4.18 ERA, but went 3-3 with a 3.53 in 11 starts with the T-51s. There are some gaps. For instance, RP Dan Beantown (28 SV, 2.85 ERA with Concord in 2306) is the only quality bullpen pitcher. There is some talent in the organization at 3B and CF, but no player is considered ready for the big time just yet. For now, Joe Malone (.286/3/46) will man 3B and Voodoo Cerrano (.240/6/51) will start in CF. In the end, Oberland seems to be a team built to win more than they lose. Whether or not they can overcome top teams like Roxbury, University Point, and Jamaica Plain, though, is yet to be seen.

2307 Nuka Cup
BNN Weekly Report This Week in the CBO, BMU, and GBRL by Nat Wright-Kawolski 9 March 2307 2307 Nuka Cup We have now completed Week 2 and 4 of the 5 Round Robin series. With just one series left to play, we have four that we know are moving on to the Quarterfinals and 11 more that we know are going to begin their spring practices in earnest on Wednesday. Group A - County Crossing The host Bloodbugs are the first team to clinch in this regional, going 4-0 in their first four series, including a sweep of #4 Diamond City and a 2 out of 3 victory over #3 Nordhagen Beach. The Swatters, along with #5 Bunker Hill and #6 Goodneighbor know they are out. The Hancocks are 2-2 and tied with Nordhagen Beach for 3rd, but they would lose out on all tiebreaker scenarios. Both the Deathclaws and Party Boys are alive for the final spot. Here are scenarios for the alive teams: County Crossing - Series vs University Point: Win and they clinch the #1 seed in the regional. Lose and they are the #2 seed. University Point - Series vs County Crossing: Win and they clinch the #1 seed. A loss and a Nordhagen Beach loss gives the Claws the #2 seed. Nordhagen Beach - Series vs Bunker Hill: Win and a University Point loss and the Boys clinch the #2 seed. Our guess: County Crossing #1 and Nordhagen Beach #2. Group B - Vault 81 No team has yet to clinch a spot in the Quarterfinals but three teams know they will not be there. #4 Fort Hagen, #5 Quincy, and #6 The Slog are all out, each having lost three series. That leaves the top three teams with #1 Vault 81 the only undefeated team in their series. Here are the scenarios. Vault 81 - Series vs Easy Town: Win and they clinch the #1 seed. If they lose, and Oberland loses its series, the Dwellers would be the #2 seed. Oberland - Series vs Quincy: If they win and Easy Town wins, they clinch the #1 seed. If Vault 81 wins, they clinch the #2 seed regardless due to a head-to-head loss to the Dwellers. Easy Town - Series vs Vault 81: If they win and Oberland loses, they clinch the #1 seed. If they win and Oberland wins, they clinch the #2 seed. Group C - Roxbury This regional is now decided for who will move on to the Quarterfinals with just the last series left to play. Both #1 Roxbury and #2 Starlight have earned their spot. The only question will be which team is #1 and which is #2 in the Quarterfinals when they meet tomorrow. The Killers clinched at least the #2 spot at 3-1 since they beat both #3 Jamaica Plain and #5 Atom, both at 2-2, in head-to-head matchups. The Cats and Red Rockets will play for the right to finish in 3rd place. Group D - Sunshine Tidings One team knows it is in and one team knows it is out in this regional, with the four other teams still alive. This is a complicated bracket, so we will also explain the tiebreaker rules for this year. First, at 4-0, #3 Salem knows it is in and has clinched the #1 seed in the regional. #4 Egret had a miserable two weeks, winning only one game against the Witch Hats in going 0-4 in its series. That leaves #1 Sunshine Tidings, #2 Spectacle Island, #5 Nahant, and #6 FHE all at 2-2 and with a chance to advance as the #2 seed. Every team must win and some need some help to move on. Tiebreaker Rules: 1. Two teams = head-to-head record 2. Three teams = overall record 3. Three teams = head-to-head record among tied teams 4. Run differential 5. Random draw Sunshine Tidings - Series vs Spectacle Island: Win and FHE loses, they clinch #2. Win and Nahant and FHE wins, they win the overall record tiebreaker. If Nahant and FHE both lose, the Chemists-Reapers winner is #2. Spectacle Island - Series vs Sunshine Tidings: Win and Nahant loses, they clinch the #2 seed. Win and Nahant and FHE wins, they win the overall record tiebreaker. If Nahant and FHE both lose, the Chemists-Reapers winner is #2. Nahant - Series vs Salem: Win and Spectacle Island wins and FHE loses, they clinch the #2 seed. FHE - Series vs Egret: Win and Sunshine Tidings wins and Nahant loses, they clinch the #2 seed.

2307 Nuka Cup
BNN Weekly Report This Week in the CBO, BMU, and GBRL by Nat Wright-Kawolski 13 March 2307 2307 Nuka Cup We are now through the Round Robin Round of the 2307 Nuka Cup, so two teams from each regional are alive. The next round will feature the #2 team from the County Crossing Regional at the #1 team from the Vault 81 Regional, the #2 team from the Vault 81 Regional at the #1 team from the County Crossing Regional, the #2 team from the Roxbury Regional at the #1 team from the Sunshine Tidings Regional, and the #2 team from the Sunshine Tifdings Regional at the #1 team from the Roxbury Regional. We will highlight those matchups after a brief summary of each regional below. Group A - County Crossing The only series that ended up mattering in the 5th matchup was the University Point vs County Crossing matchup, and it was over by Game 2. The Deathclaws ended up winning all three games, 5-3, 14-6, and 8-5, to clinch the #1 seed in the regional and sending County Crossing on the road in the Quarterfinals. Group B - Vault 81 The host Dwellers entered the 5th series as the only undefeated team in the regional, but they had yet to clinch their spot in the Quarterfinals. Facing Easy Town, which had a chance to move on with a series victory, Vault 81 said no. The Dwellers won all three games, 7-4, 11-6, and 5-3, securing the #1 seed and another three games at home. By virtue of the Assaultrons losing, Oberland was automatically the #2 seed since they beat Easy Town in the head-to-head matchup. Still, the T-51s flexed their muscles for their bid to win the Sole Survivor Series in 2307, sweeping Quincy, 9-5, 5-4, and 5-4. Group C - Roxbury This regional already knew that Roxbury and Starlight were in. They just had to play to determine which team would be the #1 seed and which the #2 seed. Well, the Rad Sox showed who was boss at home, sweeping the Killers, 7-5, 9-3, and 11-2. Group D - Sunshine Tidings This was the most complicated regional with four teams needing to win and some help. Well, one team got exactly what they needed. Salem was already set at the #1 team, starting 4-0. They had to face #5 Nahant in the last regional with the Celtics being one of the four teams needing help. In the end, the Celtics eked out the series, winning games 1 and 3, 6-3 and 4-0, with the Witch Hats taking Game 2, 3-1. In the definitive elimination game of #1 Sunshine Tidings versus #2 Spectacle Island, the Reapers took the series, winning games 1 and 3, 8-4 and 9-4. The Chemists won Game 2, 2-1. That means, the other series, #4 Egret vs #6 FHE was a battle of teams eliminated since the Yao Guai needed the Chemists to win and Nahant to lose to have a chance to advance. The Ninajs had yet to win a series, but they got this one, winning games 1 and 3, 6-3 and 6-4, and lost Game 2, 7-6 in 11 innings. With that stated, the Celtics and Spectacle Island finished tied for 2nd. Since Nahant won the head-to-head series, the team with the newest name in the CBO moves on to the Quarterfinals as the #2 seed. Quarterfinals Matchups The Brotherhood League and Railroad League lead the way with three teams advancing. The BL benefited from two surprises from the Sunshine Tidings Regional. The Institute League and Minutemen League each have one team advancing. The matchups: County Crossing at Vault 81 Oberland at University Point Starlight at Salem Nahant at Roxbury Looking at this round, we will predict County Crossing, University Point, Starlight, and Roxbury to move on with the most confidence in the Rad Sox and the least confidence in the Killers. Bet accordingly. The Rad Sox have won the past two Nuka Cups.

2307 Nuka Cup
BNN Weekly Report This Week in the CBO, BMU, and GBRL by Nat Wright-Kawolski 17 March 2307 2307 Nuka Cup - Quarterfinals The Round Robin round has been effective in getting the best teams more practice. This year, only one #1 seed is out (Sunshine Tidings) and two of the #2 seeds (Easy Town and Spectacle Island) are out. In are three of the #1 seeds (County Crossing, Roxbury, and Vault 81), two #2s (University Point and Starlight), two #3s (Oberland and Salem), and one #5 (Nahant). County Crossing Bloodbugs (County Crossing Regional 2) at Vault 81 Dwellers (Vault 81 Regional 1) This series featured the defending champions, County Crossing, facing the 2306 surprise, Vault 81, in a battle of the top regular season teams and the only #1 vs #1 matchup in the tournament. March 14: Vault 81 4, County Crossing 2 Exxie Summerset pitched 8.0 innings, allowing two earned runs on seven hits with a walk and eight strikeouts. CF Stu Gains drove in two runs on two hits. March 15: County Crossing 5, Vault 81 2 LF Long Hall went 2 for 4 with a home run, a walk, two runs, and two RBI to earn Game MVP honors. SP College Luckyman pitched 7.0 innings, allowing two earned runs on eight hits with a walk and eight strikeouts. CL Wick Prater earned the save. March 16: Vault 81 9, County Crossing 7 The Dwellers continued their success, outfiring the Bloodbugs in a tight late game. Entering the 7th, Vault 81 trailed by one, but scored two to take the lead. The Bugs tied the game again in the 8th before RF Joe Rathmann's two-rbi single in the bottom of the 8th to clinch the series. SS End Yamada was the Game MVP, going 2 for 3 with a grand slam, a run, and five RBI. Five County Crossing players hit home runs, four off Vault 81 starter Vince McCort. Oberland T-51s (Vault 81 Regional 2) at University Point Deathclaws(County Crossing Regional 1) at The T-51s have entered the conversation as a contender in 2307, facing the team that won it all just two seasons ago. Oberland's only series loss came against the host team, Vault 81, while University Point had four sweeps in their regional with the lone series loss coming against Nordhagen Beach. March 14: University Point 12, Oberland 6 1B Barker Cocoa went off, going 4 for 5 with two home runs, three runs, and six RBI to lead his team. SS Austin Engill added a solo home run for the Deathclaws. CF Voodoo Cerrano hit a two-run shot and RF Base McAndrews hit a solo shot for the T-51s. March 15: University Point 3, Oberland 0 The Deathclaws earned their way to the Semifinals by winning both games. SP Alex Alexson pitched a complete-game shutout, allowing just three hits with a walk and four strikeouts. RF Tomas Jones was 3 for 4 with a home run, a run, and three RBI. March 16: University Point 4, Oberland 2 The Deathclaws completed the sweep with SP Tony Bertha allowing two earned runs on 7.0 innings. 1B Barker Cocoa hit a three-run home run in the 7th to put the Claws up for good. T-51s SP Odd Thomas Koontz had pitched six shutout innings before giving up four in the 7th. Starlight Killers (Roxbury Regional 2) at Salem Witch Hats (Sunshine Tidings Regional 1) Both teams had good years in 2307 but neither was quite good enough to win it all. The Hats missed the playoffs, finishing as the 6th seed in the NCA. However, they took care of business in the Nuka Cup, winning their first four series to win the regional before dropping their last series to Egret. For the Killers, they were not quite capable of overcoming the powerful Rad Sox, but they were good enough to earn the #2 spot in the Roxbury Regional. March 14: Salem 5, Starlight 3 LF Dan Erb hit a three-run home and added another RBI in a tight game. The Witch Hats had five total hits, all singles, with all three runs coming in the top of the 6th. March 15: Starlight 7, Salem 1 Two Killers hitters had big games with RF Hurr Lee Reyes leading the way, going 4 for 4 with a home run, a walk, two runs, and a strikeout. CF Glenn Higinbotham was 3 for 5 with a triple, a home run, two runs, and three strikeouts. March 16: Salem 12, Starlight 7 The Witch Hats clinched the series with a big offensive output. Rookie 3B Booth Larson had the biggest day, going 3 for 3 with a double, a home run, a walk, two runs, and six RBI. 1B Needham Tickler was 4 for 5 with a home run, two runs, and two RBI. Nahant Celtics (Sunshine Tidings Regional 2) at Roxbury Rad Sox (Roxbury Regional 1) Roxbury joined Vault 81 as the only two teams to win all five series in the Round Robin Round. The Rad Sox have also won both Nuka Cups in the new format, looking to three-peat while also looking to overcome their Sole Survivor Series loss to the Bloodbugs. Nahant is the "new kid in town" after the move from Finch Farm, so the fans in Nahant have to be excited to be here and are hoping to get a major upset. March 14: Roxbury 5, Nahant 3 SP Urm Rehfeldt pitched 8.2 innings, allowing three earned runs on seven hits with two walks and three strikeouts. Andy Helium came on to get the final out for the save. C Biddy Swenson hit a two-run home run for the Sox's only extra-base hit. 1B Justin Stagg and PH Will Ashfire each hit solo shots. March 15: Roxbury 6, Nahant 1 The Rad Sox enter the Semifinals yet again after defeating the Celtics two straight games. SP Whokill Poole pitched the complete game, allowing one unearned run on three hits with two walks and six strikeouts. Rookie 1B Sum Downie was 1 for 3 with a home run, a walk, two runs, and two RBI. Nahant managed just three hits, all singles. March 16: Roxbury 4, Nahant 1 The Rad Sox held down the Nahant bats once again in securing the sweep. SP Chet Arthur allowed just one earned run with four hits, a walk, and five strikeouts in 6.2 innings. 1B Sum Downie and CF Ben Pawlak each hit a home run for the Sox. 2307 Nuka Cup
BNN Weekly Report This Week in the CBO, BMU, and GBRL by Nat Wright-Kawolski 17 March 2307 2307 Nuka Cup - Semifinals All teams that won their regional in the Round Robin Round also went on to win the Quarterfinals Round, leaving only 1st place finishers in the Semifinals. With just nine games remaining in the 2307 Nuka Cup, Roxbury stands as the current favorite to three-peat. University Point Deathclaws (County Crossing Regional 1) at Vault 81 Dwellers (Vault 81 Regional 1) Vault 81 is attempting to prove that their 2306 season was not a fluke by dismantling the defending champions of the Sole Survivor Series in County Crossing. Meanwhile, the Deathclaws did what was needed to fend off an improved Oberland team that will be in the 2307 playoff hunt. March 17: Vault 81 5, University Point 2 SP Randy Kaplan pitched eight innings of shutout ball before surrendering two in the 9th on an Austin Engill home run. Kaplan finished the game pitching the complete nine innings, allowing two earned runs on seven hits with two walks and five strikeouts. SS End Yamada finished the game 3 for 5 with a home run, a run, and three RBI. RF Joe Rathmann drove in the other two runs. March 18: Vault 81 4, University Point 0 SP Exxie Summerset, the 2306 SCA Vim! Pitcher of the Year, showed just how dominant he can be, pitching the complete-game six-hitter. He also walked two and struck out five as the Dwellers will move on to the 2307 Nuka Cup Finals with the victory. 2B Harry Byrd was 2 for 4 with a home run, two runs scored, and an RBI. March 19: Vault 81 3, University Point 2 The Dwellers completed the sweep, scoring two runs in the bottom of the 8th to edge the Deathclaws. With one outs and runners on first and second after singles off University Point RP John Walden, Mace Pageturner tripled in the tying and go-ahead runs. CL Chris Salazar came in for the 9th, going 1-2-3 to end the game. The Claws' SP Alex Alexson had a great game, allowing one earned run on seven hits with four walks and four strikeouts in 7.0 innings. Vault 81 SP Bruce Iddings allowed two earned runs in 7.0 innings. Salem Witch Hats (Sunshine Tidings Regional 1) at Roxbury Rad Sox (Roxbury Regional 1) Roxbury is back to where it has been in all three seasons of the Round Robin alignment. The two-time Nuka Cup champions and last year's runner-up in the Sole Survivor Series, the Sox seem to have every advantage over a team that just missed the playoffs in 2306. For Salem, they had to be impressive to get this far. The Witch Hats finished better than Sunshine Tidings and Spectacle Island, two league winners in 2306, in their regionals, and then they got past another 2306 playoff team in Starlight in the Quarterfinals. March 17: Roxbury 5, Salem 4 Trailing 4-3 in the bottom of the 9th with one on and two out, Rad Sox rookie 1B Sum Downie took Hats closer Justing WIlkerson deep for a two-RBI, walk-off homer. SP Nuke Laloosh ended up giving up four runs, two earned, in 6.0 innings, while Salem SP Chase Wede allowed three earned runs in 7.0 innings. 1B Needham Tickler also went deep for the Witch Hats. March 18: Roxbury 13, Salem 0 SP Urm Rehfeldt pitched a complete-game shutout, and Roxbury collected 16 hits in the series-clinching shutout of Salem. C Biddy Swenson was 4 for 5 with a triple, a home run, a run, and five RBI. RF Deerlord Fugivmee added four hits, including a double, and scored twice. March 19: Roxbury 6, Salem 3, 12 inn. The Sox got another walk-off win, this time in the bottom of the 12th for the sweep. After PH Beercan Scherer doubled to lead off the inning and RF Deerlord Fugivmee reached on a bunt single, CF Ben Pawlak hit a one-out, three-run home run to end the game. Pawlak finished 2 for 6 with a home run, a run, and four RBI. SS Jerry Goodlow had three hits for the Hats, including a double; LF Dan Erb homered.
