Olsen is a gem. Two bullpen implosions this week are triggering my tigers PTSD

In the last week, Baez has five hits, and only six strikeouts!!! This is AMAZING, and he's on pace for only 133 K's for the season!

This is fun watching Skubal. He was not as sharp as I have seen him previously but when he came out of the game it sure looked like a dominant performance in the line score. 7IP 4H 1R 1BB 6K

I wouldn't call it an 'off' performance but if this is what happens when he isn't as sharp as I always expect him to be; it's going to be a great season.

Flaherty's rung up a dozen in five innings. It will be so hard on him when the Cards inevitably get a bloop and a blast.

You almost nailed it. Flaherty deserved the "W".

I know my way around teams that can't hit a stationary milk carton off the table. Or even the table.

I once watched Jacob deGrom get negative eleven runs of support by the Mets across an entire season and win the Cy Young with a 3-2 record.

Yes, but the real numbers aren't *that* far off...!

Petition to start a "**** Craig Monroe Says" list.

First offerings:

"You hang it, we bang it!"

and

"I see guys adjust their swing to hit a ball they can't drive. Don't do that. Swing right through it!"

Monroe is a fungus. I wonder if he's somehow related to the Ilitch's because there's just no way I can see anyone actually choosing such an intellectual clodhopper.

On the bright side, we got a W.

"He needs to look for that ball middle, middle"

Don't we all Craig, don't we all.

Urshella will be coming off the IL in the coming few days. Who is going down?

I think it has to be Meadows. Perez can play CF. Perez and McKinstry are more versatile than Meadows. Parker is struggling and needs to go find something in Toledo.

Honestly, Keith and Torkelson would do well with a few weeks in Toledo too but I don't see Detroit making a move like that.

The whole offense needs to go to Toledo for a few weeks.

And Meadows it is. Man, these bats need to get moving.

They brought up Ryan Vilade who I know nothing about. He played 3 games for Colorado in 2021 and is .333/.398/.531 at Toledo in 27 games this year. I guess that's super good compared to Meadows' .096/.224/.219 in Detroit.

As disappointing as Torkelson has been, he is starting to contribute more and I was surprised to see that he leads the AL in doubles. Maybe I need to give him some slack.

.308 slugging percentage, for a first baseman, is terrible. A minus 0.9 dWAR is even worse. Can't hit, can't field. Doesn't walk.

It's as late as I'd say "it's early". Look at the hole Big Pete has been in entering St. Louis, and nobody would doubt him being a hitter. But it's almost the first quarterpost now, time to get going. A .595 OPS (live right now) barely cuts it when you're my favorite shortstop on the Raccoons...

Want to hear someone that makes Craig Monroe sound like a hall of fame analyst? Turn on a Tiger's radio broadcast and listen to the great Bobby Scales. This guy is just awful. A guy will hit a single. Dickerson will describe the action. Scales will then describe the the exact same play over again. That is, if he doesn't forget what he was talking about half way through his blabbering. I don't understand how these guys get hired. How does a guy do game after game without anyone pulling him aside and telling him the play by play guy already provided the play by play, so there's no need to do it twice.

I’ve not been “privileged” to hear one of those, David. All I know is I still miss Ernie and Al. Do I ever…
