SION ALMANAC Errors when browsing through "External Browser".

Here is the error I get (see image posted).
I get that error on %99 of my screens I try to bring up. Now when in the actual game, I do not get these errors as it is ONLY when they are opened up in external browser do I get this issue.

-Using FireFox brower
-Tried MS Explorer but had the same results

Is ANYONE else having this problem? I ask because I posted this over in the general area originally and that got a lot of views with no responses. Maybe I am doing something wrong on my end but the thing is, I didn't change anything. I just hope Markus or Marc see's this.

Interesting. Does it happen on every game you start and try to do this?

Several times I've had errors about missing HTML files when trying to open pages in an external browser. I haven't tried the almanac yet, this was when trying to open the game log from the final box score page of a game that just completed. If I go back to the "Schedules & Scores" page and then open the game log from there it works fine in an external browser. It would *appear* that perhaps the data isn't being saved to the proper location until then.

I'll have a look at the almanac page today if I can and try to see if I get the same error.

Every test league I've started so far it has done this (thats a total of 3 test leagues - which are all separate from one another).
Marc, do you want me to send you the sv file? I'm also the one having the Rule 5 Draft issue where the AI says its completed but it isn't but you are stuck.

It happens to me too. I think it's because the reports are generated on-the-fly, so it only generates them as you need them. However, when you take it to an external browser, OOTP is no longer controlling the creation of the pages. Not quite sure how to actually remedy it though.

You're right. Unfortunately, this is a part of the game design. I'm sure Marc will take a look at it, but Markus explained it to me during beta. Because it generates reports "on the fly" and not in advance, when you click on a link in an external browser, the file, in fact, is not there. When you're in IE, it can't fire off the game logic that creates the new page.

One workaround is to run a full set of league reports prior to playing or prior to when you want to use the external browser. Then at least a copy of each file would be there to be opened. (I haven't tried this though.)

Ahh, I understand this now. So this isn't a "bug" perse. It's the design. Hmm, well that make me feel a bit better knowing that it's not a bug. I hope Markus looks into it but really, it's not that big of a deal compared to other things that are going on.

One thing I gotta ask though, when Marc was releasing the "TRTR" reports they were all HTML reports and they didn't do what they are doing know.

Please HELP!

Guys, I don't understand this. I thought I did but I guess I don't. I still can not get the HTML to work. I get the same error all the time even though I am patched (see original post). Basically, all of the HTML pages are missing.

Can someone expalin to me what I am doing wrong or what the problem might be? Other people are not having this same problem so I do not understand why I am getting this problem and I don't see hwo this can be a feature.

How do you run a league report?

I figured it out. Thanks anyways.

I had the same thing happen with my leagues as well. I thought the above was the reason.

It only happens in external browse mode
