Windows Explorer error when opening photos and images folders
When I go into the Photos folder to try to view player photos that I want to use in my historic league and when I open the images folder of my league to try to replace the logos I'm getting a Windows Explorer error. Then the folders proceed to freeze and I have to end the process to be able to do anything on my computer. I'm posting it here because I don't think it's my computer alone that's the problem because I just attempted some tests using a couple of GDS games and neither had problems.
I viewed the player faces folder in TCB and the helmets folder in BBCF for my NCAA league. Both of those graphics folders have a lot of images, so if it's just my computer not handling a lot of images or something it should've done it with these folders as well. Anyone have any suggestions or know what's wrong? Before it's suggested, I tried re-starting my computer. It didn't help any. That's why I'm coming here for support. |

You mean just in general around my computer? It happens once in a great while, but it hasn't done so lately except in these two folders and a few other things I downloaded and tried opening.

Okay, now the images folder works fine when I try opening it. I'm still scared to try the player photos folder though.
Edit: I decided to go for the gusto and try to photos folder as well. It opened just fine as well. So uhh...does this mean my computer is in the early stages of having problems with data corruption and needing a reformat? Or is it just some random freak thing that I shouldn't worry about unless it keeps happening? Last edited by Jeremy Weimer; 06-01-2006 at 10:36 PM. |

For programs you update regularly like antivirus, Windows, online games, does it download and update slower sometimes? Is your temp file and cookies not been emptied in a while? Defragging helps as well.. but checking the health of suspected HD might be good to do.
