Possible Lahman Import Issue
I've imported from Lahman and set the leauge to start in 1977. I left the import and player creation options at default.
I'm seeing lots and lots and lots of players with 100 speed. For example, here's the Brewer's MLB roster: ![]() And the Yankees ![]() And the Astros ![]() This problem makes the league nearly unplayable, since every team has half their lineup populated by Lou Brocks. Any chance we can get this addressed in the patch? Last edited by Exodor; 06-04-2006 at 12:48 PM. |

It's worse than I thought.
When I look at the players more closely, they don't just have 100 speed - they have their speed ratings completely maxxed. ![]() ![]() |

I wonder if that would happen if you used this version instead: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...d.php?t=121309

I think it's a 'bug' with the 'era_modifiers.txt' values for speed (and other values, possibly). This value is in the range 2.8 - 3.3 upto 1910 or so, then gradually reduces - but is still 1.414 in 1977. If I read it right, that's saying players in 1977 are 41% faster than today - and that players around 1900 were 3 times faster than they are today...
