Can't find my pitcher
Just wanted to report a frustrating problem I think I am having. Imported a 1962 historic league from Lehman's database. Everything seemed to work, there were a few things - known starting pitchers imported as middle relievers but not too bad. However, when I went to set up the individual teams I found a player missing.
The 1962 Giants imported with a few Major League level veterans in the minors - no big deal, I put everyone where they should be except one. A pitcher who pitched for the Giants in '61 and '62 (Mike McCormick ?sp) is not anywhere in the transaction screen. He is not in the Major League so I can put him in the rotation nor is he on any other roster in the organization. When I set up the roster filter to display all of the players in the organization his name IS on the list. I can bring up his "player card" and it says that he is on the Giants at the Major League Level. His status is "OK", he is not on the disabled list (season hasn't started) or anywhere else. Long story short (i know, too late) a pitcher imported from Lehman shows up in the roster list but he does not show up on the Giants set-up screen where I can place him in the rotation or on the Giants transaction screen where I can place him on a team. |

What the Heck
No response?!? No kidding....this is real. This player is not available on the screen where I set up my pitching staff. He does not appear in the list when I view "active roster". When I change to "all players in organization" he is on the list and I can bring up his card which says he is on the major league team but he isn't!! In the transactions screen he is not listed at any level. I installed the patch hoping that would help - no change.
Why no response?!? This is a real problem. I have a BS in Information Technology, I have followed baseball and played baseball games my whole life, and I have played OOTP for five years. This is a real problem - the guy is not available! This is holding up a multi-player league so please help! Bump! |

I am sure that since you have a BS in IT you know that tech support people are overworked and underappreciated. Last edited by Raidergoo; 06-08-2006 at 11:33 PM. |

Is he on the reserve roster? If he is you can move him to the active roster by moving someone off the active roster first (only needed if you have no space).
Page 149 in the game guide shows how to move someone from the reserve roster to the active roster. |

In case it's not clear from the guide, select your team from the drop down menu at the top and then select the transactions tab. From there it's pretty easy to move players back and forth from active to reserve lists.
BTW, Reserve lists are used instead of minor leagues for historical leagues. |

I'm sorry I'm late to the party. Could someone please indicate whether this problem was resolved, or whether it is still an issue. Was anyone able to replicate the issue?
Does this happen using the patched version of the game? Thanks, Steve |

Since we haven't been able to replicate this, and haven't gotten more information, I'm going to move this to closed/claimed fixed. Please feel free to post a new thread if any issue comes up!
Thanks, Steve |
