OOTP 2006 repeatable crash report

1. What, specifically, were you doing when the problem occurred? Include the specific screen you were on when the problem occurred.
Auto-simming until a future date (specifically the June draft). Screen I was on was the manager news screen. I think it's the same crash that has occurred on 4 occasions, including just auto-simming the current day (therefore I don't think this is related to the draft date).

2. What happened? Was there an error message? If so, what was the specific message?
First a pop-up with this message:
"ootp2006.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.".

Clicking for more info gave me this message:
"AppName: ootp2006.exe AppVer: 1.0.0.0 ModName: ootp2006.exe
ModVer: 1.0.0.0 Offset: 00035ad5"

Clicking for even more info gave me a link to the following error file:
C:\DOCUME~1\MYCOMP~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\1000_appcompat. txt

Here is the text of that error file:
PHP Code:

3. Were you able to repeat the error with this same game? With another game? If so, what steps did you take?
Yes in the same game and in a different game (though the other league had a similar league set up). After the 1st crash I set autosave to monthly so as to not lose the entire season. After the 2nd crash I noted the game date of the crash and simmed until there, then auto-played a day at a time (saving each day). I was able to repeat the game crash 2 more times following this method.

4. If relevant, what do you think the program should have done?
Not relevant in this case, the crash was not caused by me trying to access a certain screen or changing settings etc.

5. What is your league configuration (fictional/historical, etc.)- Historical (1969 with Lahman) with all affiliated minor leagues PLUS an additional small (8 team) fictional league. I set myself as MGR of a team in the unaffiliated small fictional league.

Other points:
- In one of the 'crash' leagues I have hidden players on, the other they are off.
- I set scouts to off in all the leagues, but coaches were on.
- Using 1-100 ratings for players and coaches.
- I changed the finance co-efficient from 1.000 to 0.033.
- No DH in any of the leagues.
- I set the independent fictional league to the same settings as AAA for player ability in comparison to MLB.

Additionally, if your problem is related to system performance, memory utilization, or the like, please include details about your computer's hardware and operating system.
Don't think this applies but I run XP home edition v2002 service pack 2 on a PC with a P4 2.8 GHz processor and 512 MB RAM

Feel free to PM me if a saved game file is needed.
