Merchandising Revene

The is a salary cap, and a way to limit TV / media revenue (I think at least), and a way to limit tik prices and attendance... but no way to limit merchandising revenue. I think this is partly why cash seems to accumulate out of no where. Perhaps a "cap" on both media and merchandising revenues would give players more control over the financials.

Doesn't this flucuate with how well/popular your team is? If you're the Yanks, you're just gonna make tons more money than the KC Royals in terms of merchandising.

I believe you can lower merchandising revenue by lowering the market size.

Is this true? I've lowered the market size of some teams and have experienced NO reduction in the amount of merchandising revenue. In fact, it has stayed exactly the same from year to year. I have a team with a "non-existent" market, "non-existent" fan loyalty, and a rating of 2/100 for fan interest and that team has one of the greatest merchandising renenue in the league actually.

I am having the same merchandising revenue problem. I've got a team with a 2 market and loyalty that finished last consecutive years leading the league in merchandising revenue, while the twice removed world champs from LA are second to last in that catagory.

Its messing with my financials big time.

Maybe your team has a cool logo that all the kids find 'hip'? No?

John,

Markus has spent some time looking at this issue, and a decision has been made that this is something he will look at in detail for the next full release. For now, Markus was unable to identify a "quick fix" that would address this issue without potentially impacting a lot of other areas.

Just wanted to give you the update... The change is already noted in our system, as well. For now, I'm going to move this over to the Closed forum.

Thanks very much,

Steve
