Everyone retires after Winter League

I am playing a Universe with 3 Leagues (USA, Mexico, and Japan), there are 5 minor leagues for the USA League (AAA,AA,A,Rookie, and Winter). After the Winter League ended in mid Feburary, every player on every team in the Winter League retired. This is quite a problem because I had sent alot of my good prospects to the winter league to get some off season playing time.

Screenies:

No screenie made it.

EDIT. I can see it now.

This is typical snow bird behavior, retiring early in summer-like climates.

Interesting. I haven't seen this behavior, but I had two things different.

1. My "winter" leagues were set up as Short-A leagues with October start dates.
2. The seasons ended before Dec. 31.

Either of those two may be the difference.

I would be willing to send off my saved game if anyone is interested. Maybe I set something up wrong. I just dont know what I could have done to make an entire sub league retire.

I forced the game to close (ctrl-alt-del) and restarted it 15 days in the past. When I simmed up to the end of the winter league playoffs it happened again. Everyone retired.

Sorry, gotta bump this up for one more run through the first page. I just keep thinking to myself what I could have set up wrong to make this happen. I checked my league settings and nothing seems to be out of whack. The only things I can think of are:

The winter league has a different config then the parent league. The parent league has 2 leagues, 3 divisions each league and 4 teams per division. The winter league has 2 leagues, 2 divisions per league, and 6 teams per division.

The other thing is that the winter league goes from November to Feburary. I wonder if going over the New Year is a no no. If anyone is running a successful league going over the New Year, please let me know just so I know that is not the problem.

Thanks

I have a Winter League that runs from November to Feburary without problems. However, my WL is an independent league. In fact, as far as I know, winter leagues cannot be affilated with major leagues?

That's brutal, making your young players play winters in the Appalachian League towns. Do you at least clear the snow off the fields? Maybe its not surprising these kids are giving up on baseball.

Everyone in this league is a slacker and needs some discipline.

Well, i did not see my bug listed in the change log, but it does seem to be fixed now. As I stated in another post I had this league backed up to Feburary 1st. After applying the patch the players did not retire and the AI properly moved the winter league players to other minor league assignments. Great job Marcus.

Thank You
