My pitcher charged with a run my team scored
Here was the situation. My pitcher got injured while batting. He made an out, so I replaced him with a reliever in the lineup, one I was going to keep in to pitch, since there wasn't any point burning a regular player as a "fill in the spot" person. This reliever had not pitched yet this season. He pitched one inning without allowing a baserunner, much less a run. After I placed him in the lineup, before my team got it's final out, we scored a run. When my pitcher came in to pitch, I noticed he had been charged with a run. I checked the opponents pitcher and he had not been charged for the run. Anyone else notice this problem?
I also noticed a couple of my pinch hitters were charged with a game pitched after PH for a pitcher even tho they had not pitched, but they had been kept in the #9 slot as replacements while my reliever was placed into another spot in the order. Last edited by StyxNCa; 06-08-2006 at 09:54 AM. |

Be kind of hard to redo the pitcher getting injured while batting. Info is passed on in the event someone else runs into the same thing.

Just figured it out. Was a double switch in which I put a position player into the pitchers spot and it said I had a position player in the pitchers spot. I then put a pitcher in the spot I wanted him in and changed him to the pitcher and the other guy to the position. Under pitching stats it shows the position player as having a game as a pitcher, though.

This is a very tough one to troubleshoot, but I've logged it as TT #1868 and asked Markus to take a look at it. We'll see what happens.

I also noticed the pitcher got charged with the loss as well as the win for the game, since the run he got charged with was our go ahead run. He is 2-1 in 2 games pitched.

If you subsitute for a position player, the sub will be automatically inserted at that position.
This only applies to defensive substitutions. The AI recognizes pinch hitters and runners as such. |
