FTP of lineups not working..........

In v6.5, the path was listed as /public_html/lineups

The new version will not save the '/' at all.

Consequently, you can't point the game to the correct directory.

Putting just 'lineups' in doesnt work. You have to have the '/' in there.

Would it be possible for someone with the company to at least make a comment on this?

A bit frustrating for the online league crowd to not be able to operate because of something such as this.

Ok, in the Directory line, put in /public_html

in the Team directory line, put in lineups without the "/" and test that

should work

Are you sure that directory listing isnt to tell the game where to upload files to if you were uploading the HTML files to your server?

All previous versions only had one line for you to list the path to the lineups directory.

In my online league I have nothing entered for the directory folder and /exports for the exports directory and it works fine. It depends on what the root directory is for your ftp account. Hope this helps.

This works. I can import team exported files, however, no changes that my test owner is making are coming through.

He's changed the rotation and put a password on his manager and neither came through.

Are you getting an error message when importing? I posted an error message earlier that I'm getting when trying to import all teams from ftp. The workaround for me was to DL the .ootp file manually and then import it.

Yes, I'm getting the error message.

manually importation is too much of a task with many lineups to import, plus it requires the owner to email it.

My problem is as follows.
In "game setup" the "team exports directory" input line will not save the /. I am trying to have the files go into /teamexports, and as soon as I do anything it removes the / and it just says teamexports.

Still when I run a test on the connection it says it works fine.
When I or another owner try to export, it begins uploading the export, then stops with "error 202". When I look on my server a "teamexport#" file has been created but contains 0 KB... Any ideas?

See post #4 in this thread

there are now two lines for that setup...............
the line just above lineup directory for me is /public_html
then I input just 'lineups' in the team exports directory

that will make it work if you know the first line's content from your web space setup.

thanks for the reply Cooley... but it is not working for me. I have the base directory in top one and then the dir I want it to go into on second of 2 dir lines. It connects fine from test. It starts to export from a team screen and then the error 202 msg pops up. when I go to server the team export file is in the folder, but it is 0 KB...

FTP To Website Problems

I keep getting errors.................although it appears to be uploading okay.............taking about one hour to upload to the website. Test connection is successful................but, nothing is changed to the website. Please advise on what could be wrong when trying to FTP to a website.

I'm sorry for the delay in replying to this thread.

After reading through this, I'm still not quite certain; is there still a technical issue, or are people just confused because the new version behaves somewhat differently?

Yes, there's still an issue. Lineups won't import through the game. Its all outlined in the 'other' thread that hasnt been answered.

You get a date error and the lineup shows to import, but no changes, etc. are shown in the commish's game after 'importation'.

this issue has been clarified, however, you can't import even after you get the correct path input due to the error.

For further clarification, this is the error you get when importing:

CALENDAR_DATE::set-invalid year
and
CALENDAR_DATE::set-invalid hour

It doesn't import any changes and for status says "Old File"

Has this been resolved? I get this error and can't load the database at all. I'm using the patch, too. I'm not trying to ftp anything, just trying to load my league....
