Crashing during game

Bug report template:

1. What, specifically, were you doing when the problem occurred? Include the specific screen you were on when the problem occurred.

I am crashing when playing games. It seems to happen most consistently whenever I make an adjustment to the starting lineup right before the game on the tabbed screen marked "(My Team) Substitution". (I need to do this because the computer is changing my starting lineups from what I have set in the team lineup screen.) If I sim a game there seems to be no problem. If I manage a game (without changing the strating lineup the computer shows me) straight through with a minimun of subs, no problem. The game always crashes at the end of the game (as it is tabulating box scores? Come to think of it, I also crashed a couple of time when I hit the "box score" tab during playing a game...) The game crashes on the game playing screen (SCION Broadcast).

2. What happened? Was there an error message? If so, what was the specific message?

It says the game needed to close.

3. Were you able to repeat the error with this same game? With another game? If so, what steps did you take?

I have repeated this with different games- always crashes after conditions described above.

5. What is your league configuration (fictional/historical, etc.)

Fictional league- 2 subleagues, 2 divisions in each, six teams per division.

6. Are you a Mac or PC user?

PC- high end machine, lots of RAM, using latest patch. Even "reinstalled" the game (let installer do error check, etc.)- same results. Game has done this both before and after patch.

Are you using a pentium chip or AMD?

I have forwarded this to the proper places.

Do you mean the game is having issues with either AMD or Intel chips?

FYI, I logged this as TT# 1749.

We're not certain if the game is having issues with certain chipsets, although the majority of crash reports that we have been unable to replicate seem to involve AMD chipsets. However, many AMD users have had no issues at all... Just trying to add to the data set!

Had my first CTD this morning after loading the patch. It occured while managing a game - my pitcher was injured during the final out of the top of the 10th inning. Rather than bringing up my roster screen to let me sub I got a "this program has encountered an error and must be closed" message.

AMD 64 3200+, 2 GB PC3200

Refering to my original post, to answer thomamon and inform battists, it's an Intel pentium 4-

Pentium 4 Processor 530 with HT Tech (3.00GHz, 800 FSB)

1GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 400MHz (2x512M)

Hope I don't "curse" myself with this post, but I started a brand new game from scratch (with patch) and things seem to be going fine. No crashes yet in a variety of managed and simmed games. Made it through Spring Training and the first seven games of the regular season- so far, so good. So, it must have been a corrupt game or something crashing me before.

Now if I could just get my pitching staff to stop crashing...

Yep- I know I shouldn't post to brag about my game being better. I DID curse myself- crashing again. ALWAYS crashes at the very end of a game right before the box score should appear. Oh well, I think I'll put this away for a while and wait for a few more patches before I give it another go...

Just FYI, we logged this twice by mistake. The correct TT# is 1749. Unfortunately, unless we hear back, we can't do much about this issue. Please post back if you have followed up with Marc D per his post earlier.
