Wrong state

Brooklyn is in Ohio? Check Sandy Koufax's birth city. I couldn't find any way to edit this.

There is a NYC problem with cities.txt

The Big Apple is treated as one gigantic city, instead of the 5 boroughs.

If you follow the example in the above thread, you will split NYC into 5 parts and take care of the issue the next time you build a universe.

This also affects Toronto, I am told, as Toronto has eaten up many surrounding cities.

What do I know of Toronto? Fly through the place as fast as you can on the 401, turn left at the nuclear power plant, and point your car towards Peterborough. When they quit paving the roads, I am near my wife's aunt's home.

. . .true patriot love and all that. . .

This one is in that strange area between "bug" and "not bug." At any rate, our intent is to include the New York boroughs in the next version of the patch, so this issue is "claimed fixed." However, this won't address your current league. It will fix the issue for any subsequent leagues you create, however.

Thanks very much,

Steve

Note that this issue likely goes deeper than just the cities.txt missing the NYC boroughs, see this thread (which has been TT'ed).

Yes, they are separate issues. This one addresses the game's ability to correctly import origins for players in historical databases. The other thread addresses an inability in the player editor to choose between multiple towns with the same name.
