Lahman Import Issues

I was trying to import 1983 into the game which worked just fine. All the players and teams and divisional setups appear to be from 1983. I get to the end of Spring training then look at the news and find out that some teams are signing free agents such as "Brian Giles" and "Albert Pujols", etc. When I click on these players names, they strangely are importing stats from 1990s and 2000s.

Is this a known issue?

Could I have made a mistake when setting up my league?

Anyone else with this issue or just me?

Just for more info:

1. Yes, I have applied Patch 1

2. This was in Commissioner Mode "acting as"

As noted the basic problem is I imported 1983 yet still have modern day players showing up for some reason. I'll see if I can duplicate this error.

One more thing, when Pujols and other modern players showed up, their birthday was earlier than their real birthday. In other words, Pujols would show up being in the late 50s. Any questions from anyone about this?

darkenigma,

Sorry for the slow response to this thread.

I haven't seen this one before at all... First off, was it a Lahman database? As compared to Arod/Garlon or something like that? Which version of Lahman?

Is it possible that you imported 1983, but somehow set the game start date to 1990 or something like that?

I'll try to take a peek at this.

Thanks very much,

Steve

We have a new rule that states that Tech Support threads wherein we have not received a response within 7 days will be closed.

This one meets this criteria, so I'm closing this.

If you want to discuss it again, just PM me with the thread link, and I'll re-open. (Don't just say "Hey, reopen my thread." I need to know the URL, thanks!)
