Is a refund possible?

I'm disappointed with the latest version of the game and was wondering if there is a refund policy. I am one who pre-ordered before the end of 2005.

Thanks

Unless there is a problem that (having worked with you) we cannot fix then it may become an option. However, just not liking the new version is not a reason I'm afraid/

Have any of the discs been shipped out yet? If not then is it possible to get $10 refunded?

So much for customer statisfaction, if they were behind the game

they would have a 10 day return policy, no questions asked

Just like all software\ gameproducers, right?

That's why there is a demo and it even goes past your 10 day refund with 14 days to check out the game.

If you preorder you do so knowing there is not a demo to check out and IMHO do so at your own risk. If the money is that big a deal (and I do understand it can be for some) then be patient and wait for demos before you buy anything.

Well they let you try their game before you have to hand over any money, more than fair IMO. Once you order the game they have to pay elicense for their service. When they give a refund they still pay elicesne their charge and have to eat that as a loss. So why after offering a demo should they take a loss?

Why not start a trend by having people take some personal responsibility for their decisions? It was know during the preorder time period a demo would be out around the time the game released. This guy decided to preorder, save himself $3.50, and forego the chance to try the demo. His decision, nobody elses.

Pretty scientific poll. Wonder what Gallup charged to set it up?
101 people out of all the buyers voted and 32 were unhappy, wow I'm convinced especially with the love and hate options and nothing in between

Remember too, by your example 70% love the game. That's really saying something when you consider most say it will need two or three patches to get it where it should be. If they love it now I can't wait to how they feel after its patched.

Just make sure you save this message and re-read it when they are trying to sell pre-orders next year.

Wow, there was a demo available last winter when they were selling pre-orders? Silly us for not trying it first.

For all the whiners, ever here of E-Bay,go sell it on there, and go play something else. And that way people that actually care about the game ,can help the support team idenify the bugs and help solve the problems. Then everybody is happy, but this relentless bashing serves no purpose other than being irritating.

More silly of you to not read the post before commenting.

One out of two posts that said something that actually makes some sense, congatulations.

If you think saving $3.50 by preordering is worth the risk of missing the demo then preorder. If you don't think it's worth the risk then don't. It's called taking responsibility for your actions.

See, really not a very hard lesson to learn if you apply yourself.

Yeah, no one has any excuse for wanting their money back on grounds of being 'disappointed'.

I didn't think the game would be great to start, I didn't pre-order, I have my money still.

Basically, you may feel burned if you didn't get the game you expected, but you should be kicking yourself now and taking it out on OOTP next time they offer pre-orders.

To be clear I don't think you did anything wrong. You simply asked a question and got an answer. It's other guys that think they have to jump in and bash or whine.

So you now have a game that you are disappointed with, where do you go from here? I hope you don't give up on it. Shelve it and come back and check out the next patch when completed and give it another go, won't cost you anyting but a little time. I believe you will find things improved though I'm sure there will still be some issues outstanding. At least one more patch after that I would think and then we'll see where we are at.

From your original post you only say you are disappointed buy not why. So I don't know if you have ever played ootp before and only found it wasn't the type of game that interests you or if it is just something game related that seems unrealistic. If it is something with realism or even UI related then do come back and look after each patch as we do have a very good foundation
in this game to build on. If it is your first try with a text sim and you have found it's not your thing then I guess you'll have to mark it down as a lesson learned.
