Illegal Number Of Players

Hi Guys I just completed 6 seasons an was about to start number 7 when this came up FREMONT HAS ILLEGAL NUMBER OF PLAYERS (0). I do not control this team and don't know how to proceed. Please give me good news so I don't lose my league....Thanks in advance

Either you can go to the team screen and click action, then fill team with fictional players, or if you have free agency enabled you can ask computer to set up minor league team and they should stock there roster with players from the scrap heap, if there are enough

I already tried the fill rosters with minors and it says operation complete, but when I go to continue it still says illegal number at Fremont (0). Well I quess I will have to trash this league...Thanks for the try

Odd Error

I am in the offseason of a season and I am using the patch.

It keeps saying,

Mella has an illegal number of pitchers (less than 3) on the active roster(26)

I am playing as the MLB so I have a winter league going now, but I have more than 3 pitchers on that team.

I found it, the Braves Winter League doesnt have enough pitchers, how can a force a team I dont control to get enough pitchers?

Can you go into Commish mode and put players on the roster to fix the issue, then go back to player mode? If not please let me know.

TC Dale,

I had the same problem and I used commish mode to move players from the Rookie League to the Winter League, but after one day of simming the AI moved them back. I had to fill the Winter League with fictional players. I believe that my 10 round draft was not enough to keep 4 levels of minors and a winter league stocked, so I changed the draft to 15 rounds and I will see if it helps.

Good idea, let's hope that will solve the issue for the poster, but I will keep an eye on this..

Its seems to me that the AI does not like to move players from other levels of a team to the winter league. I am not sure if it is a bug or by design. I have a major league, AAA,AA,A,R, and WL. All leagues except the winter league run a somewhat normal schedule (April to September/October). The Winter League starts in November and runs until Feburary. I would think the AI would move players from the minors to the winter league, but this does not happen. The AI seems to want to keep a dedicated winter league team. I have seen the AI keep players on the winter league roster year round for several seasons.

Perhaps I am misunderstanding the entire purpose of a winter leauge, I assumed it was to give minor league players some extra games in the winter.

I'm sorry for the late reply to this issue.

I'm guessing at this stage you've long since moved on. Has this problem occurred again? Markus has really been tweaking the AI roster moves for Patch 2, so I suspect this sort of thing will be improved in the next patch. At any rate, with a new patch coming out in a few days, unless you've seen this again, or we get some more reports of this, I'll move this over to Closed/Claimed Fixed.

Thanks for reply none the less, I can say that I'm now in a thirteen season league without the problem repeating. What I do before every season is I go to set up and any of my teams who are low I fill with fictional players. So I quess it got fixed with patch one....

I'm sorry for the awfully slow response to this thread.

This issue was claimed fixed back in the 1.0.2 patch. I'm going to move this to Claimed Fixed for now.
