Some bugs I've noticed

First off, I'm playing with the patched version.
1) I've seen runners advance from second to third with ball hit on the left side of the infield. This should only happen on a hit and run or run and hit
2) An outfielder "Charging" a ball hit behind him.
3) A pop foul behind the plate where the catcher waved off the centerfielder.
4) A fly ball to the outfield where the runner on first tries to advance to second. I've seen them both thrown out and safe.

BTW great game

Pretty sure 1,2 and 3 are known issues. #4, I am not so sure.

Keep digging, it is appreciated.

#1 If the ball is hit slowly, then the runner could advance to third.

#4 In real life, I've seen plenty of players tag up and go to second on a very deep fly ball.

1. happens way too often in the game (alomost automatic) but is possible on a slowly hit ball as rdomico says or a ball that takes the SS close to or behind 2b.

2. Still happens on occasion but has was cleaned up quite a bit in the first patch. Does still need tweaking IMHO.

3. I haven't seen but will look for it.

4. Again possble and I think it should be in the game as long as it is a deep fly
and it doesn't happen oten. Haven't seen this one myself either but will watch for it.

#1. I've seen numerous instances of a player advancing on a grounder TO THIRD or a sharply hit ball to short, not deep in the hole, but right at the guy.

#2. I agree with Sweed. Much better since the patch, but it still happens way too often.

#3. I've also had my right fielder get called off by the left fielder on a fly down the left field line, and numerous occasions of my centerfielder arguing with himself over who's got it!

#4. Happens very rarely, and only when the ball is deep enough, and the runner has a good baserunning sense. Not a problem in my book.

The remaining big issues are:

1. Runners stealing third at will.. If their SA is 15 or above (1-20 scale), they're off. I've also seen too many occurances of a runner stealing second and third on subsequent putches. Everyone thinks they're Ricky Henderson circa 1981.

2. Substitutions not being announced. It was nice to know when the AI brought in a lefty in the seventh.

3. Back-to-back homers are not being reported, unless the HRs are separated by another batter. It's interesting for a 2-run HR to be announced as part of a B2B pair.

4. The unit of measurement is missing in homerun calls.

5. There should be no reason why you need to look at more than one screen to get the info you need. Broadcast looks kinda like the old game, but most of the stats we used to have are missing (like not being able to see pitcher and batter on the same screen in windowed mode), and Webcast is great but little things like bunt ratings and pitcher fatigue are left out.

6. No trading block or simple way of shopping a player around.

7. No available job news UNLESS it's in your current league OR you get news from the entire world (which based on some universes would be a big drag on game speed and system performance.

That's all I can think of right now, but I am sure there is more.

With that said, i still enjoy the game. I'm just striving to make it better.

I'm sorry for the woefully late response to this thread.

Luckily, I believe that all of these issues are either fixed in 1.0.2, or claimed fixed for the next patch. For now, I'm going to move this over to the Claimed Fixed forum. Please let us know if these are still a problem!

Thanks,

Steve
