June draft crash
I posted this in the crashes sticky above but no one seemed to notice. So I'll make a new thread.
I've been experiencing a crash during the amatuer draft. I'm running this system: http://asia.cnet.com/reviews/noteboo...094260p,00.htm I'm trying to sim ahead about 50 years. I make it fine through about 25 or 30 years before I run into problems. For instance, I started 24 team league (with 5 levels of minors, AAA, AA, A, R, Short Season) in 2006 and I'm currently in 2030. When I sim through the 2030 season, it gets to the amatuer draft and then crashes while drafting. So I load the league back up again (it was saved at January 1st, 2030) and try again and I get the same result. Anyone got any ideas on how to fix this? I did a search of the forums but didn't see anyone else with this problem.

this exact problem has happened to others and has been posted several times here since the day the game was released in various threads, I have yet to see a solution posted (other than 1 who said "it's your computer stupid" which didn't help much) but have seen the thread I started about it removed for who knows what reason.
The hope (my hope anyway) is Patch 2 will include a fix. Just guessing here now, but perhaps the memory leak problem and how large data is handled problem (both listed on the Patch 2 fix list) is what will solve this particular problem. The longest I've had a universe last is 18 seasons before fatal crash, some have posted 50 seasons and boom, others have posted different ending points, not sure why the difference, perhaps amount of data collected/stored, just another guess. |

Thanks. If the search function on these boards didn't suck so much I might have been able to find that for myself.

PotatoPeeler,
I'm so sorry it took me so long to get to this thread. ![]() Obviously, a second patch has come out since you posted this issue. Can you tell me, did that patch resolve your issue? Please let me know, and I'll try to follow up on this! Thanks, Steve |

We have a rule that states that Tech Support threads wherein we have not received a response within 7 days will be closed.
This one meets this criteria, so I'm closing this. If you want to discuss it again, just PM me with the thread link, and I'll re-open. (Don't just say "Hey, reopen my thread." I need to know the URL, thanks!) Steve |
