Two things
1. I'm sure this has been mentioned somewhere before, but when you start out a brand new league, every player has their ratings maxed out to their potentials, whether they're 18 or 45. Can this be changed so that youngsters aren't already at their ceiling of ability?
2. It would be really, really nice to be able to sort through lists by straight scouting reports for current and potential ability by either SION, your head scout, or whatever is available (i.e. if you did a quick-scout on a guy 3 months ago and that and SION are the only things you have). I guess this would be something you'd actually have to add into the engine but IMO it would go a long way towards calming the outcry of the people who are bummed about losing the star ratings. |

I tyhink he's playing with no minors, but he'll really have to answer that himself, won't he?

I started a league with minors and 90% of prospects had ratings that equal their potential. Most of the top 100 is in the major leagues already.

OOTP5 did the same things, at least for me. Made a bunch of young guys that were already in the Majors at the start.
They must get bumped off the propects list after a year, because the second year showed (in OOTP5) more correct. Haven't thought to check in this version if it's showing correct (or better that is) after a season. |

I've done it with no minors and with one level of minors. It's annoying because even when a 21-year old is good enough to be in the league, he's a 21 year old who will never be better than he is right now (save one of those big unexpected leaps in ability). Also, you get young'uns completely tearing up the league, which often leaves you with inaugural-draft players dominating your league's leader boards 50 years into the future.

Syd,
I'm sorry for the awfully slow response to this thread. ![]() Obviously, some time has passed since you posted this issue, and the 1.0.2 patch has since been released as well. Are you still seeing this issue? As you probably know, the second issue you mentioned has been resolved. Please let me know! Thanks, Steve |

We have a rule that states that Tech Support threads wherein we have not received a response within 7 days will be closed.
This one meets this criteria, so I'm closing this. If you want to discuss it again, just PM me with the thread link, and I'll re-open. (Don't just say "Hey, reopen my thread." I need to know the URL, thanks!) Steve |
