Small Complaint Regarding History

On the yearly team history pages, fielding stats are listed without reference to the positions at which they earned those stats. The lack of context makes the whole section kinda not very useful.

History -> Teams -> select a team -> select a year in the left-hand column.

Hi Pine, you're in the right place. We're just working to get caught up. Whenever a patch gets released, a jillion people post, and there's not many people reviewing these things.

OK, I see what you mean, but what do you think should be done? Perhaps some way of breaking out rows for each player at each position? Like this? (No idea if this is possible, just brainstorming.)

Tim Sharp (Total) 35 55 77 (or whatever)
Tim Sharp (SS) 22 51 33
Tim Sharp (2B) 13 4 44

Whaddya think?

I don't even think a "total" is necessary, except maybe for the entire team. Fielding totals really don't translate from position to position. Actually, the way Cato and baseball-reference do it is like this:

Code:
Catchers G PO A E DP FP PB
-----------+---+----+----+---+---+-----+---
RSweet 83 431 26 3 6 .993 7
BBulling 56 304 24 3 5 .991 2
JEssian 48 282 26 2 1 .994 1
OMercado 8 31 1 0 0 1.000 0
DFirova 3 8 1 1 0 .900 0
-----------+---+----+----+---+---+-----+---
Team Total 162 1056 78 9 12 .992 10
-----------+---+----+----+---+---+-----+---

First Base G PO A E DP .992 8.51
-----------+---+----+----+---+---+-----+-----
GGray 60 476 31 8 36 .984 8.45
JMaler 57 529 41 5 45 .991 10.00
BBochte 34 267 21 1 38 .997 8.47
DRevering 27 202 11 3 22 .986 7.89
-----------+---+----+----+---+---+-----+-----
Team Total 162 1474 104 17 141 .989 9.62
-----------+---+----+----+---+---+-----+-----

Second Base G PO A E DP .981 4.70
-----------+---+----+----+---+---+-----+-----
JCruz 151 320 434 10 98 .987 4.99
PSerna 18 21 30 1 7 .981 2.83

-----------+---+----+----+---+---+-----+-----
Team Total 162 357 482 14 113 .984 5.12

...and so on.

This is an excellent idea, but it doesn't look like Markus is going to have a chance to add this in a patch. We have added it to the list of planned changes for the next full version of the game.

Sorry that it won't happen sooner, but I hope you understand.

Thanks,

Steve
