1 game playoff, transferring record to next season.

At the end of my leagues first season, Las Vegas and Portland had a 1 game playoff to see who would actually make it to the playoffs. Portland won and advance.

When the next season started, it showed Portland with a record of 1-0 and Las Vegas 0-1. It doesn't show up on the actually standings page, only on the schedule page. So stands will say I am 0-0 but when I head into my game to play the first one of the season it lists me as 1-0.

I've never seen this before, weird. Whenever my league has had a 1 game playoff, it ended up in the record of that current season.

Has it happened each year?

I've seen it twice now. The record went on the previous seasons standings as well.

The only reason I am guessing the record is coming from the one game playoff, is because those two teams are the only ones heading into the season with any type of w-l record.

This happened in a historical league I did as well. There was a three way tie for first place (with only one team advancing) and each team played the other to decide who would advance. My team won the first and lost and second, and at the beginning of the following of the season we were listed as being 1-1 before the season started, as well as the other two teams being 0-2 and 2-0 respectively. But like Willis said, it was only on the schedule page and not in the standings so it was not a huge issue, but still an issue nonetheless.

EDIT: this was BEFORE the most recent patch.

Yeah, it was kind of irritating to see my record as 22-11 and then go to the standings page and it be only 21-11. Heh. Not a huge deal though.

BTW, end of the 3rd season there was once again a one game playoff however the records didn't carry over. The only change between the years was adding a wild card playoff round.

Big Willis, can you please describe precisely which screens show the standings incorrectly? There are a lot of places in the game that show your record. The standings page, the standings HTML report, individual box scores, etc.

Which ones are displaying incorrectly?

Thanks!

We have a rule that states that Tech Support threads wherein we have not received a response within 7 days will be closed.

This one meets this criteria, so I'm closing this.

If you want to discuss it again, just PM me with the thread link, and I'll re-open. (Don't just say "Hey, reopen my thread." I need to know the URL, thanks!)
