Customising Broadcast Screen
Is there any way to change the "rust on a black background" for the line-ups on the Sion broadcast screen. I find it difficult to read easily. Can't find anything in the manual. Thanks for any help.

You should be able to go into the fonts folder in the game skins directory and replace the "atomicclockradio" font with another one of your choice. However, you will need to name the font the same for it to work and you may run into some sizing issues. In any case, try that but save the original "atomicclockradio" font file just in case you decide to put it back.

There are four fonts for each skin. I renamed one of the others atomicclock but since I think all four fonts are used in different screens it solved the lineup problem beautifully but screwed up other stuff. Will keep trying.

However you change the font names round, the atomic clock radio appears on some screen or another and looks absurd wherever it appears. Would it be possible in the future to supply another font which is immediately legible?

I've renamed atomicclockradio to "acr" then copied one of the other fonts from another skin and renamed it atomicclockradio. A bit long-winded but it makes the line-up much easier to read and looks far better. Hope this helps anyone who feels the same way.

Also, your PC has tons of fonts in the "Windows" directory. You can copy and past one of those, then rename it to whatever font that you want to replace in the game.

Simmo13,
Hopefully, this information will be described more fully in later versions of the Customization Guide. Unfortunately, no one has had time to really write a thorough guide on how to customize the skin. Thanks for bearing with us. Moving this to Closed forum for now, since it seems like Fidel helped you out... Thanks, Steve |
