This is with the newest patch released on Friday morning. Using Cubby/Rolen rosters.

I can confirm that the game is creating strange names post patch 12660.

Players Like:
C Ayto
Greek God of Walks S (with a nick name of Peterson)

Are these all using someone's roster file?

If you create a brand new fictional or standard league, do you get the same issue?

We have a rule that states that Tech Support threads wherein we have not received a response within 7 days will be closed.

I have a similar problem. It seems that OOTP is in the habit of creating American players with fragmented names (Thoma Johnso, for example). I can get a screenshot if it's needed. I have tons of examples.

The default name file includes a bunch (24, in the American name file) of popular initialized first names, so I don't think that's comparable to the odd "aJ" you saw with the Cubby roster.

Perhaps not but it still is an issue in the fictional setup.

Just wanted to put this one to bed. Is anyone still seeing this issue with the 1.0.3 patch?

If so, is anyone seeing it with newly created leagues, or just "legacy" leagues?

Finally, has anyone seen it with anything other than CubbyFan's roster set?
