Odd bug with inactive teams/schedules/etc.
Ok. Here's the set up. Take the MLB default universe bit, add all the other nations.
start it in 1901, create your league. Go in and delete all of the teams that weren't around (in MLB) in 1901, leaving you with 16. Run your draft, etc. Then FORGET to change the schedule. Sim your season. The inactive teams still get players, they still play games. They don't show up in standings, you can't edit the teams or view them, and in the history, they show up as inactive. However they keep adding years to when they were 'active' Ex: Arizona Diamondbacks (under inactive) will show 1901-1903, even though they only 'played' one year. Also, the players are now stuck on those teams, being unable to 'act as' them as commissioner and release them. I was tipped off reading the news reports after the seasons and reading how somone blanked the "Houston Astros". I was 'eh?' Perhaps add some check to make sure the schedule is valid on the start date or something. Not a programmer, so don't know all that's involved. *edit* failed to note: Using the 1.0.3 patch, and yes, I still have the universe. Last edited by Bishop; 09-09-2006 at 04:44 PM. |

I apologize that it has taken so long for a response. Would you be able to upload the universe so I can take a look?

Bishop,
Since I have not heard back from you I am going to close this thread. However, if you would still like me to take a look at this Universe, please PM me and I will gladly reopen the thread and take a look. Thanks.
