Pinch Hitting Problem
The game has an issue with being able to distinguish when an atbat is officially considered a pinch hitting AB. My CFer made a great, diving catch for the third out of an inning and injured himself on the play. So, I was immediately prompted to replace him defensively despite the end of the inning and did so. But the replacement came to bat the next inning and was not credited with a PH AB because the game thinks he was brought in for defensive purposes the inning before that. This needs to be fixed.

Having not run into this specific situation, I have to ask: Does the game allow you sub for the injury and designate the player PH or when the player does/did come to bat, can you change his position to PH before the first pitch is thrown?
I agree, the immediate injury demand has always been troubling and needs attention. In 6.5 and prior, I would often simply sub the injured player for himself (until the final patch, when I believe that gave him two places in the boxscores) in the event that the injury was simply a 'pulled finger' or another day to day with which he could continue play with no real ill effect.
