Importing existing league from OOTP 6.5
I have tried importing an exisitng league 6.5 per the instructions in the 2007 manual and no matter how I set the 6.5 date it won't import. I keep getting the same message to change the date to opening day.
How do I import and existing, in progress league? |

So, are you saying that in OOTP 6.5, when you open your league, it's opening day? And despite that, when you try to import this league into 2007, you get that error? |

I have an ongoing season being played in 6.5. I am trying to import it into 2007. I have tried setting the date in 6.5 to opening day, 1 April and also to 1 Jan. When I try to import it to 2007 I get the message that I need to set the date of the 6.5 to opening day. Do I have to rest the 6.5 league to be able to import it or am I doing something else wrong?

the 6.5 league has to be on the first day of the schedule that has actual games (this might not be april 1). you cannot just set the league to a given date. if you are in the middle of a season, please sim to the following opening day and try again. let us know if you still have problems after that.

Yeah, I'm not sure that's clear. Just to paraphrase evil homer:
Let's say in your OOTP 6.5 league, you open it up, and it's July 15th in the game. You have to sim through the end of the season, do the "proceed to next season bit", go through spring training, and once that is done and it's Opening Day in your 6.5 league, save and quit the game. THEN you can go into 2007 and attempt to import the 6.5 league. |

We have a rule in Tech Support that says that requests that have gone more than 3 days awaiting a response from the customer will be closed. This thread fits that bill, so I'm going to go ahead and marked this issue as "closed."
If you disagree, please let us know, it's no problem to re-open this. It's an administrative thing we do to try to ensure that only active issues are being researched. Thanks very much! Steve |
