Can't get playing

At first I tried to download the Rolen '07 roster and that didn't work. The game rejected the roster.

Then I tried WorldofBaseball league file and, although I was able to create a game, it crashed as I proceeded one day.

Finally, I attempted to play using a quickstart (fictional MLB 07 quickstart) and the game didn't load properly.

It seems to work when I use the generic league options built into the game (but I don't enjoy playing the completely fake leagues).

Please advise,

Hmm, this is tricky.

With custom roster sets and quick-starts, you'll probably need to speak to the people who created those rosters and quick-start games. If the in-game options (fictional, standard, historical) are working for you, I'm not sure there's much we can do to help...

I'd suggest bringing this up in the threads related to those custom sets you've been using . . . at least to start.

What sorts of errors are you getting?

When I loaded the fictional MLB quickstart I got a "league may be from an older version" or something along those lines.

For the World of Baseball I recieved a Microsoft error prompt. Something like this: "ootp.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close."

I'll take it up in the mod discussions. Figured I'd bring it up here in case their was something the modders didn't know about changes to '07.

Unfortunately, those sets were worked on so hard by the mod guys, in some cases during beta testing, which was full of buggy versions of the game. I suspect that has something to do with it.

We have a rule in Tech Support that says that requests that have gone more than 3 days awaiting a response from the customer will be closed. This thread fits that bill, so I'm going to go ahead and marked this issue as "closed."

If you disagree, please let us know, it's no problem to re-open this. It's an administrative thing we do to try to ensure that only active issues are being researched.
