Players suddenly leaving my team during the season

I tried doing a search, but didn't know exactly what to search for to see if this has happened to anyone else. Twice recently, I've had a player on my active roster that is under contract suddenly sign with another team in the middle of the season. The history says nothing about them becoming a FA or anything, just that they signed a contract with the team. Has anyone else seen this?

Gord, I have heard a few other similar reports. Are you playing in Commish Mode and Acting As a team, or did you actually sign on as a GM/Manager? Do you have waivers on? Was the player tallying statistics up to the point when he signed with a new team? What time of year was the player signed and what stage of the season did that time correspond to?
