Question about save games
I installed OOTP on a 500GB external hard drive (designate E
![]() I tried to change the save directory to the E drive, copied all the files to the designated folder, but the next time I started the game it crashed on loading and told me that it couldn't find the files. I had to do a full re-install. So I dealt with it saving to C for a while but, like I said, the hard drive is filling up, and I really would like to get it to save to my E drive. Any help would be excellent, thank you in advance. |

I'm pretty sure that you can't. Here are the two FAQ pages I found on the subject:
http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...d.php?t=143247 http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...d.php?t=142326 The latter suggests that what you are trying to do is not supported. |

I could be wrong, but I think the first link is the one that's applicable here.
Dave, if you want to change the location of the saved games, you have to move the entire data folder, and you'll need to let OOTP know about it, as per the descriptions given. |

Please have a look at the properties of that external drive, it needs to be formatted using NTFS file system! OOTP has some problems with big leagues on FAT32 drives!
And the first link is the one to follow, that's right. |
