Stuck on August 29th -- Nothing happens...

Running the latest patch on PC. Fictional league with 92 year history, no roster sets. A ML, 5 minors, two feeders. Windows XP, Core 2 Duo, 1 GB memory, Geforce 7600GT, 14 gb or so of free disk space. FaceGen enabled.

The league was running fine, a couple of crashes in the month of August, but nothing that the league couldn't recover from; I just had to replay a few games.

So I played my game on 8-29, and try to go to the next day, and nothing ever happens. It just sits there. It won't let me press any of the other buttons in the game screen, though it's not completely frozen, because I can minimize it. It's no longer using any CPU, but it does still have memory allocated to it.

When I load the league, I can do anything on the 29th -- put a player on the DL, change League Settings, alter my lineups, look in the minors, anything EXCEPT advance past this day.

I know some people had problems with deleting leagues and All-Star games scheduled, but this is later in the season, and I haven't deleted any leagues in this universe.

A few minor league playoffs are going on, and it's a couple of days before roster expansion. Doesn't seem like anything happened on the 29th that it's getting stuck on (i.e. schedule issue).

I've spent a great deal of time on this universe and am emotionally invested in these players (my third year expansion team may make the playoffs for the 2nd straight year!)

. So any help is greatly appreciated.

If anyone wants league files, hopefully you can let me know before too late this evening. I'm really hoping for a resolution by mid-day tomorrow..... otherwise I may have to do WORK at work instead of play OOTP

Okay, apparently never mind. I was experimenting, and wondered what would happen if I made a subtle move (put someone on the DL), and re-saved from that point. Shut down the game, and restarted it. And now it lets me go past that point.

Strange, but as long as it works...
