historical rosters

I have a question. I play historical leagues but would prefer no trading between teams prior to the season. Most times when I play many players have been added to a specific team that weren't originally with the team. An example I can think of is Enos Slaughter having two roster spots. I was playing a game and Enos Slaughter was inserted as a pinch hitter we got him out and we had to face him again the next batter. I there any way around this when I set up my league? Just trying to make it as historical as possible. Thanks in advance for any response!
