BZ 1734: Retiring Player vanishes from in-season Leaderboard

Maybe this has been covered elsewhere, but about two-thirds of the way through the season, the announcement came down that a pitcher would be retiring. He was leading in wins at the time and was in the top three in ERA and strikeouts. He wound up leading the league in all three categories and had his best season ever.

But once the season ended, he disappeared off the leader boards, as if his final season didn't count, and the pitching award went to someone far less deserving.

This happened once before (that I know of) in the 70-year history of this particular universe, and it really ought to be fixed (though it's hard to call it a high-priority issue).

You should post bugs in Technical Support so they'll get identified and fixed if necessary.

It seems like he is asking if this is a bug, and I would definitely say yes. I would post it in the tech support forum for sure.

Did he retire at that very point mid-season?

I'll try and see if I can replicate this problem.

I can replicate this at will. If a player retires mid season, he disappears from the league statistics page, but he does stay on the league history leaderboard pages if his stats at the time of retirement are good enough for that season.

Actually, it was announced that he was "to retire," but he finished the season. He was on the leaderboard the whole time until the season ended.

The statistics screen won't be fixed, because Markus says that that would take too long, but the awards selection should be fixed for the next patch.
